Vazquez is way smaller than Gonzalez and De Leon
Vazquez is not a big puncher compared to Gonzalez and De Leon
Gonzalez is a better technician than Vazquez but Vazquez is better than De Leon

The only thing going for Vazquez is his heart, which is as big if not bigger than Pacquiao's

This will be a UD or a late knock out for Penalosa, or a very controversial SD/UD for Vazquez.

Some of the reasoning of other posters here show their great grasp of boxing.

They see Vasquez as being almost always on action packed fights and they outright believe that he would dominate Penalosa because of that.

Know your boxing guys. Styles make fight always.

GP's KO of Gonzalez is not a fluke. Review the fight and understand the movements of Penalosa towards getting to that kidney shot.

Penalosa never over commits in his punches, while Vazquez tend to do that when he is on the offensive. Defense/Offense versus Pure Offense! Who would you choose again?!

i beg to disagree bro. no offense meant... i think gerry will have a great chance against vasquez. against ponce, many thought he would get "murdered", but what happened? gerry came out clean and many at ringside thought he displayed great boxing techniques. on the other hand, i think it's boom who will get KOd again if he fights vasquez. boomboom is not yet ready for the big time. he needs more years of experience. he wasn't that impressive against an unrated fighter last sunday, yet he admitted that he got hurt in round 1 that's why he stopped the attack after the first knock down.

Vasquez can easily go up to featherweight and super featherweight, he even want to challenge Manny. Gerry only fought once on Super Bantamweight against DPDL(which he lost), almost with his entire career he's been campaigning in super flyweight division. When he fought Johnny Gonzales, it's Bantamweight not super bantamweight, Vasquez is super bantamweight champion.
Anyway if you think Gerry is of the same size as Israel Vasquez, then you’ll see what I mean if this fight will happen.
