No doubt. Gerry is a complete fighter. I wish many can copy Gerry's style in the ring, or he can be a trainer someday. Who knows.

A fighter had to choose to be aggressive as Manny or he may choose to be defensive minded as Gerry does.
A Boxer should always be appreciated because of his style...e.g Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray Leonard, etc.
Only a few recognized a full blooded puncher-boxer like Gerry Penalosa.

People seems to recognize only the blood . This is Boxing "The art of hitting without getting hit " or the SWEET SCIENCE we already know. It always better TO GIVE THAN TO RECEIVE...that is the LAW.

So, a true boxing Enthusiast is an open minded PERSON.

Gerry is the JMM of the Philippines.. What a skill! He picks his spots then throws 3-4-5 punch upstairs, down stairs.. Whew!

Incredible. If "Master Boxer" could be found in the dictionary, Gerry's photo would be right next to it.

That is why Freddie Roach is very fond of Gerry. I remember Gerry claimed as a great loss that he only met FR late in his career. IF Gerry had such trainers during his prime, he could have been a menace in his weight class. Gerry is an intelligent fighter, with his height his only disadvantage.

grabe bilib ako sa galing nito ni gerry. and skillwise you can't compare jmm to gerry cos gerry is much better than jmm by comparison skill by skill.

sa defense
priority niya is if he saw the punch and he has time, he avoids the punch usually under it to give a perfectly timed body punch.
2nd, if he has no time to avoid it, he will parry the punch.
3rd, if he has no time to avoid and parry the punch, he blocks it w/ his gloves or arms depending on the intended target.

sa offense
almost all of his punches are well timed, not the type where "hoping to hit a lucky punch"
