If Louie was trained with a world class trainer and managed well, he could have done a lot more - he has all the skills needed, a well-balanced fighter.

That is a great what-could-have-been thing....that is what great trainer means. Whoever decided to give PacMan to Freddie Roach should be thank for that one great-move-and-the-rest-is-hirtory thing..(Murad Muhammad?)

Joe Koizumi used up Louie dry.

Was he? Damn that guy...what was the role of his wife in Louie's downfall?

Our crook officials were partly to be blamed for bringing mess to our heroes. The former Gov. Larry de Pedro of SoCot really sucks...

Cobrita did not know what hit him. He was out.
WBC hated King Louie . They did not want him as a champ.
Too bad King Louie did not get his shot at Princess Hamed.
They were so scared of him.

I agree, "Cobrita" was really down and out and was almost carried iout on a stretcher"... :toast: :boxing: I wonder now what happened to the unpaid purse of King Louie... :(

...it takes divine or government intervention for louie to recover his unpaid boxer's fee(from a former governor and husband of a court magistrate)...

Louie is a cross between Gerry and Manny, tactical/stylish and yet he can brawl too.

One reason that Louie did'nt suceed in his campaign in the US is that he doesnt want to speak to a boxing commentator after the fight. I remember in his fight with Kennedy McKinney, Larry Merchant ask him what is his comment about the fight. He just said "si coach si coach". Kinda snob isnt it?
Maybe its a small thing, but americans will love a fighter better if he can respond after an interview or better yet speak in english. This is one of the reason Manny and Oscar has a big fanbase (of course this is just secondary ,the way they fight is the bigger reason). I also noticed that Barerra is trying to speak english now in his post fight interview now. lol

I would also like to add that managers are also a very important part of a boxers team, IMO Louie's Japanese manager doesnt know how to handle one, have you seen Japanese boxers in a PPV lately? or in any of the past years?
