I tried to assess the performance of Z Gorres yesterday. The fighter was still way behind at par with the best of his division. Although I could not discount his previous hard fights, but, if he is really in the top caliber fighter, he must have that killer instinct.

Z is somewhat more of an amateur type fighter. If you want to rise in the top rank, perhaps, it is better for Z to add power on his punches.

His opponent is surely a journeyman. Looking at the records of his opponent, Z should have TKOed him lately if he is indeed a top caliber fighter.

Z still has a long way to go. If Z is truly committed to his dream, then, he must work hard for his power. He already has the grace and the stance, but the power is still not there.

there were no significant changes since their last fights (nietes and z). i dont know, maybe its just me but i feel if their opponents are like class A fighters, baka may talo ulit. sana wag naman. maybe im expecting a total dominance from them.

i'm sorry guys..

think you missed the pat that Z Gorres oponent last night is a former bantamweight champion...
dont ever discount that Cruz Carbajal is a journeyman.... you put a wrong impression to him...
Cruz-carbajal is a live veteran...

your right that Z has no killer instinct... because he has discipline as a boxer fighter... in finishing an opponent there is a certain way and time to TKO'ed an opponent... i think Z can rise up... i like Z style...

Well, an added power to his punches would be a big plus in Z's arsenal. But not all boxers are gifted or in born hard punchers.

He's got power, he dropped his previous opponents in a regular basis. I think its just his fighting style that prevents him from doing brutal K'Os.

he was particularly vulnerable to carbajal's lead right. as a south paw, he should have expected it and made adjustments before and during the fight. and, as i always reiterate, his stance is too wide, like boomboom and banal.

Carbajal was swinging in there but Z was in control. In round 5 he threw a combo that had Carbajal spewing his mouthpiece, that was a hard punch. Then he boxed beautifully after that.

I wish the fight didn't end that early because Z just started to put on a show.

Kinda agree, almost all of Ala's fighter has the same wide stance,i thought Z box his opponent well,he was so predictable though,he throws the same combinations at the same angle all night (jab, jab left straight and right hook to the body and right uppercut)Carbajal is an easy target, surging face first with his guard down,Z did'nt capitalize on this...

Well, Z is moving up one(1) weight division higher and power might be somewhat less as compared to superfly.
