Your computer's performance depends mainly on its contents . . . so choose the latest softwares available in town. On the brand, I my preference is TOSHIBA, a Japanese brand, which is indeed durable . . . although you should at all times have to take good care of your laptop for it to last long . . . . . .

Lenovo has a good build.
HP has great customer service. You can buy an HP laptop here in the US, and still have a manufacturer's warranty in the Philippines.

Had a horrible experience with Sony. Bought a laptop from them, sent it to the Philippines... after 2 weeks, the motherboard gave in. Sony Philippines won't even take a look at it!

So it's LENOVE or HP for me!

BTW, I have Gateway... it sucks. lol

Price is right for the features.

Of course there are other brands that are better, but you have to spend more.

:toast:

i'm using the aspire 6920. and since i'm almost always in the province, i have to say its the most perfect one for me.

hard drive is up to 320GB (its packed with movies, concerts and fights) and its memory is 2GB (you could have it upgraded up to 4). it can also play blu ray.

Wow that's a 16-inch laptop. Great for movies/gaming. I'm using 4710 model. Satisfied with its performance.

Me just a cheap 4530 model but the performance is superb! You could also go for Lenovo Y410 if you want cheap and good performance laptop.

Yup..! Great nvidia 9600 GT graphics card & crystal brite WUXGA screen. Mine is the 6935G version... 3GB RAM original upgraded to 4GB for free at Octagon Megamall...

Nice specs for almost half the price of other brands...

My wife have the SONY 170fw/j... Never failed even once... She's been using it for almost a year na... I guess SONY is good but, expensive...

My former laptop was an HP 2845se...

I got no serious problem that can't be fixed by a normal user...

I sold it to my brother went I went home for vacation & bought the ACER Aspire 6935G because I need more specs & bigger screen...
