Of course they did... If Manny only fought patsies, he will never be a famous big time boxer in the same manner MAB got recognized by beating Hamed.

Manny got known by beating MAB, was thought to be a one hit wonder after the draw with JMM and the first loss to EM, but was recognized as a superstar after his TKO win on EM.

MP became a superstar when he beat the superstars.

uh uh don't think so! 'coz when he fought Lucero , he was already a Superstar , maybe not to all , but most FILIPINOS already consider him as one. Thats why I bought PPV that night .

Youre entitled to your own opinion here so what mor can I say.
Peace!

question incomplete

World Famous after beating Barrera

but just plain famous before that well

remember the blow by blow days where the name Pacquiao became synonimous with the event i'd consider that fame in itself

Internationally well maybe MAB was the defining factor

because Manny Pacquaio was already famous in the Pacman EM part one
where Manny Pacquiao bowed to a decision and gave EM's popularity a boost

anyway give credit where it is due

I'd give it to Pacman beating the hell out of this two famous boxers EM and MAB respectively bwah hahahahaha

Hamed made Barrera famous and Zaragosa made Morales famous and PPV fighters. Of course their trilogy too, both made each other famous.

EM and MAB were already well known when Manny fought them. When MP fought MAB, he was a small commodity, earned less than 300k/fight. When MP fought EM, it was EM that was the legend... Of course it was Manny who took some fame from them when MP KOed both.

honestly i agree, coz if it wasnt for their dominating names in the featherwieghts manny would not be as big as anybody else right now, he has become a true warrior beating other true warriors, he has proven something than PBF has....

Correct...but I think Morales' popularity came from the accumalution of fighting great fighters like Zaragosa, Espadas and Mcoulough, and his unbeaten record during those times.

Even if you give me money , I would still not believe it was them who made Manny famous like he is now! IT'S HIS FIGHTING STYLE , REGARDLESS OF WHOM HE FIGHT WITH AND HIS LOVE AND RESPECT FOR HIS COUNTRYMEN THAT MADE HIM FAMOUS. Many of people who knew him and support him didn't even know who MORALES or BARRERA are .
