Pacquiao's attitude seems like he believes he can do it alone with his boxing prowess without the need for outside help.
It is specially noteworthy that he would turn his back on ABS-CBN which was behind him from the start and also sue 4 other journalists.
I don't think this is the way to go. Journalists belong to a silent fraternity much like soldiers, lawyers and doctors, where they protect each other.
Manny needs them, whether he likes it or not, but it seems he believes otherwise. Don't be surprised if what you read about Pacquiao are all negatives.

Blame Gacal for not having Manny sign two contracts with ABS-CBN and GMA.

In regards to the topic, when people stop talking about Manny, then I'll believe it.

For me it is...due to Packy's infamous antics...

With Donaire and Condes being champs and the upcoming World Cup, that's enough to keep my Philippine boxing interests alive for now. I don't need any Packy for now.

maybe partly due to his fight with solis which is not of the same caliber as with barrera, morales and marquez. besides there are other filipino potentials (boomboom, gorres etc.) and the likes of donaire and condes who proved their worth just recently. those fighters grabbed some of the limelight. add the fact of his political loss last may.
his status may diminish a bit and the chance for it to glow once more is to beat MAB come october 6.
ey! this is my first post! congrats to me! hehe.
GO TEAM PHILIPPINES AND BEAT MEXICO ON THE BOXING WORLD CUP!!!
MANNY BEAT BARRERA!!!

...status in boxing? maybe, but not his popularity. The name manny pacquiao is very familiar/popular in any island of the Philippine archipelago, especially now that a mere mention of ara mina's name packy's name comes immediately into fans' mind...

Hahaha, it sounds that you are one of the ORDERS OF JOURNALIST you are imagining..:).

Anywayz...MP did not turned his back on ABS-CBN, it was ABS-CBN who turned thier back first on MP since MP started to run for Congressman, giving bid deals on all the negative side of MP and bieng a not worthy Congressman because of His educational attainment, well now...if you are in gensan, and one of those poor generals...you will regret..that you did not vote MP for Congressaman, MP can do so much to General Santos City Development and popularity, he did already...:) hehehe i guess i am out of the topic..

:)

pacquiao status is diminishing. he goes to billiards with ara mina. ara mina is an actress. she makes a lot of money doing a lot of bold movies. i don't like bold movies because it makes me hot. it's really hot now in california. i really hate this weather. they said there's a storm now in the philippines and it makes the country cooler. i would like to go back to the philippines someday. philippines is actually a very good place with lots of island to visit. i like particularly to visit borocay. so yeah i'm handsome!
