It looks like we Filipinos did not give Pacquiao the proper support at the Alamodome. Many decided to just watch it on TV.
According to writer Marley, the crowd at the Alamodome was nearly 100 percent Mexicans... I'm sure they went to see their idol Arce/Mijares fight. But WHERE were THE FILIPINOS????

LOL. Look at the replay of the fight and judge for yourself. 95% of the fans in attendance were of Mexican/Hispanic origin.

Some writer described that out of those estimated 15,000 in the crowd, 14,000 of them know the words to the Mexican national anthem. The best thing about the fight is that non-Mexicans who don't speak Spanish can now at least count to ten en espanol.

Probably 5 to 10 percent pinoys. At the ringside you could see a bunch of pinoys on the screen. Also thos people waving the flags at the upperdeck.

This is a very doubtful calculation by the people who claim it. I was there, I'd be surprized if there were more than 2000 pinoys there.

Let's give the benefit of the doubt to Michael Marley since he risks his career on his claims.
We cannot rely on "some say" or whaterver.
Given the multitude of Filipinos in the States, why didn't they go to the Alamodome to support their hero???
Is it because it's ONLY Solis that Pacquiao is fighting?
I doubt if distance is the reason because in Texas alone there are tons of Filip[inos there, not counting those living in neighbopring Nevada and California.

You can't tell that just by looks, remember, Filipinos are of Spanish-descent too...look at the people at ringside, you can see lots of Filipinos - Sportajordan, Gerry P., etc. were seen among others....

Yes, I agree. The Filipinos named Arnel De La Cruz and Juan Hernandez can finally count to ten in Spanish.
