Some Paclanders believed the PPV numbers would be in the 200K range. Only Morales can achieve such a feat on a regular basis. Morales is still the PPV king.

I think the fight was poorly promoted. I also think HBO non-involvement in the fight could have been an attribute to poor sales.

The number isn't bad considering it wasn't on HBO. Morales-Chavez did 130,000 and it was on HBO. At lower weights you really need a dance partner to push it to 300,000+

Who needs HBO? MANNY PACQUIAO doesnt need anybody to promote his FIGHTS. HE IS THE MAN.

It was better promoted than Barrera-Marquez. Pacquiao should be enjoying huge PPV success since he is the No. 2 pound-4-pound fighter in the world, but he isn't because he is not that popular among boxing fans....at least not yet.

Arum won't announce the numbers if they're bad.

He bashed JMM/Barrera for "only" drawing 225K ppv buys, but it seems Pacquiao/Solis was even worse.

I heard MP vs Solis made around 200 K... and that's big considering MP is fighting an unknown and that fight wasnt even an HBO PPV  . And JMM vs MAB two big boxing name only made 225 K? Top Rank>> GBP

guys, you all, please don't be stupid.
you all know it was just a tune-up fight.
even if it bagged 100K nobody would care. and besides the fight was not on TFC hence making it harder for most expats, like me, to avail of the PPV.

so please do not be stupid and quit commenting on things you know nothing about.

This is "lumang tugtugin" by Pac fanatics -> Pac does not need anybody because he is the man. He only earned about 100K PPV and still does not need HBO ? An ODLH fight sells more than 1 million PPV for your info.

The last fight of Pacquiao should have not been pay per view.

If it wasn't for the two boxing promoters, the fight should have been in HBO only.

Just like any other fights that Morales and Barrera when fighting no named opponents.

They even tried Barrera in Pay Per View with Fana and as I recall from that fight, there was not much boxing fans bought the fight. Maybe alot of those were Mexicans based in US.
