I think the fight was poorly promoted. I also think HBO non-involvement in the fight could have been an attribute to poor sales.
Who needs HBO? MANNY PACQUIAO doesnt need anybody to promote his FIGHTS. HE IS THE MAN.

This is "lumang tugtugin" by Pac fanatics -> Pac does not need anybody because he is the man. He only earned about 100K PPV and still does not need HBO ? An ODLH fight sells more than 1 million PPV for your info.

PLSSSSS read between the lines!!!!!!!

yes... thats according to Dan Rafael's report...

175,000 is not bad its still a solid numbers.. since HBO was not involve in the promotion.

ohh men its on the inside n must be a member. anybody copy n paste it...

175,000 is descent considering there wasnt countdown to pac vs. solis :biglaugh:

if that number is true, someone is gonna be eating crow for saying it wont break 100k cuz there was a blackout in SA :biglaugh:

maxboxing message board which is truly balanced in terms of fans also mentioned dan rafael's live chat and the figure for the pac's ppv which is 175,000

http://forums.maxboxing.com/index.php?showtopic=7772

if this turn out to be true i have to say it did good.

Why? Not advertise in ESPN, Foxsports or on HBO.

Only created buzz in the internet.

the main event was fighting an unknown.

Barrera vs. fana i believe was 75,000. highly publicized by hbo.
Vitali vs. Williams did almost the same.

Many more hbo ppv that was highly publicized failed.

For a small time show its a success considering paulie vs. cotto did 40,000 only i think.

If that is rafael's source is right.

Yep, 175K is outstanding. That is, if Rafael's source is correct.

If this is true, 175,000 PPV buys for PAC-Solis is a very good number considering PAC is fighting a total unknown... :D

let us accept, unlike the mexicans, pinoys in US didn't give 100% support to Manny in terms of gate attendance and PPV buying.
