Floyd pulls 300-400k plus on the average in his PPV's.....FYI
suggest you go to american boxing forums and ask. They will tell you the same or close to it. Floyd I was told is a bigger name than Pacman in the US, my cousins from there told me about it.....Pacman is only famous with hardcore boxing fans, maybe mexicans and pinoys while FLoyd is becoming a household name, especially now that he is fighting Oscar Dela Hoya

LMAO... you should try out in the premium blend... A PBF fight sold more than one of EM-MP trilogy.. BTW, one of EM-MP fights landed into the top 10 PPV buys (including WWE and UFC)

maxboxing message board which is truly balanced in terms of fans also mentioned dan rafael's live chat and the figure for the pac's ppv which is 175,000

if this turn out to be true i have to say it did good.

Why? Not advertise in ESPN, Foxsports or on HBO.

Only created buzz in the internet.

the main event was fighting an unknown.

Barrera vs. fana i believe was 75,000. highly publicized by hbo.
Vitali vs. Williams did almost the same.

Many more hbo ppv that was highly publicized failed.

For a small time show its a success considering paulie vs. cotto did 40,000 only i think.

If that is rafael's source is right.

After pac man won, all kinds of drunk mexicans were super pissed. In the restroomI saw these four short(4'8"-5'2") drunk mexicans talking **** to this big Phillipino dude who looked like the rock:D

and then... ???

tell us what happened.. :P

read it here. http://forums.maxboxing.com/index.php?showtopic=7772
its from a mexican guy.

"Arum recently promoted his pay-per-view card featuring Pacquiao in the main event against unknown Jorge Solis. While he doesn't have final figures, he said indications are that the show will finish around 200,000 sales, guaranteeing himself a tidy profit."

Day by day, the PAC-Solis PPV number is slowly emerging...

I don't think that I've ever read Arum saying it will be around 200K. From Manila Bulletin, it just said that the official number will be release within 2 weeks.

200,000 is not yet the final number ... it could still go up depending on Arum's wishes...

What's the big fuss bout this ppv, it doesn't matter who earned a lot or who got broke. The fight is what matters. :gun2:

it may not be important to you.but do you think they would pay pac millions if he could not sell?

I agree with you, but this is a side argument regarding Pac's popularity in the states. One way to measure that is through pay per view sales.

One more thing, the PPV buys is one of the indicators of boxer's marketability. Dela Hoya makes a lot of money in every fight because he hit it big in PPV.

I think a 200,000 ppv buys for PAC-Solis will gain some respect on PAC's popularity in the USA...

Some of the doubters already appreciated the earlier mentioned ppv number of 174,000 buys... So 200,000 buys will definitely change their perspective on PAC's selling power...
