I just wish for Viloria the best. He did the best he could to prepare against Marquez. I believe it was deserving of at LEAST some congratulations from us filipinos.

I'm still proud of you viloria. Mabuhay ka.

Pinoy love to eat CRABs.

You are what you eat.

Viloria is straight-up FILIPINO-AMERICAN...

FORGOT THE PINOYs, BRIAN. THEY REALLY ONLY HAVE PACQUIAO and MARCOs.

Viloria was born in the USA, so pinoys dont have a connection with him, although he has strong Ilocano roots. Its a good thing that the politicians are not leeching off him actually, its a blessing in disguise to be ignored by such corrupt pinoys. Brian is a humble guy and doesnt need to be the "center of attention", in fact he probably prefer keeping a low profile and enjoy himself there.

I just love brian because he is so humble. But he's also one hell of a scrapper in the ring. If i can only give him his due, i would.

...it's because Brian don't speak the language, he is viewed differently by pinoy media. :(

You're right it was too early, and Pacland at least gave it's due respect for his win. A thread even dared to proclaim he's better than Nonito.

he is a fil-am. for most filipinos it is not easy to connect with him unlike pacquiao who lived most of his life in the phils. it does not help when he monickered himself the "HAWAIIAN" punch, further distancing himself from his filipino roots. nonito a fil-am himself recognized this and picked the name the "FILIPINO" flash, making himself closer to fil-am fans. viloria being an ilocano does not get as much support, as ilocanos are perceived as very arrogant in the fil-am community. they always answer " i am not a filipino, i am an ilocano".
he needs to pick.
is he hawaiian, filipino or ilocano?

If it's true he is ignored, I find no other reason than it's because of Milan Melindo.

Those who shouted CRABS are wrong. :(
