This should be enough reason for him to hang it up. He's had a great career and this loss does not take anything away from that, just that it's telling him that his body cannot take any more of the beating a pro boxer gets.

why are you happy that he lost? :(

I'm not happy, I'm just glad he lost so he can save himself from even more embarrassment if he fights in the States again. If you seen how he fought tonight he isn't the same as he used to be. His parents didn't even attend his fight tonight for the first time. It's truly time for him to hang up the gloves now.. :?

Good try, Ricky...you shouldn't have retired after that lost to Pacman.

another "biased" scoring came from Al Bernstein, who had it 77-76 for Hatton. Hatton was the more aggressive fighter tonight, he explained.

"Aggressive" as in throwing wild swinging punches that mostly missed causing him to fall down in one round and fighting in the clinch like his usual style.. 8)

Hometown scoring. Hatton was missing a lot; Senchenko landed the more meaningful and accurate shots.

I've always been impressed with Hatton's entertaining style. As entertaining as he was, I always saw him as a predictable brawler with no head movement and average ring intelligence (if at all) who overwhelmed his hapless opponents with his strength and swarming style but a decent boxer would always trump it. In this fight, I saw the same Hatton; ring rust or not. But I have to give him credit for fighting a championship-caliber opponent who is much taller than he is and rangy for his tuneup fight after 3.5 years of inactivity.

I think he should just enjoy his life and his money and just have fun promoting fights like the Golden Boy.

Ricky will come back again, I tell you.

Just a temporary setback, Ricky, I know you will come back. :(
