Juan Manuel Marquez Blasts Canelo Alvarez…Again!

By Paul Magno

COMMENTARY | When you think of simmering boxing feuds, a few come to mind. There's Paulie Malignaggi vs. Adrien Broner, Nonito Donaire vs. Abner Mares, and Tyson Fury vs. Everyone.

However, there has been one feud brewing for the last two years that has managed to, for the most part, stay out of the spotlight and away from the headlines. This all-Aztec rivalry involves, arguably, the two biggest names in Mexican boxing today-Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Juan Manuel Marquez.

He is jealous of Canelo's Career...

Being so successful and full of great opportunities at 22.

Poor Marquez, Canelo "the kid" is stealing his spotlight...

If they fight each other JMM will get a shot by Unanimous Decision. Canelo skills is away to far from JMM's gulang move/skills just my three cents.

Marquez would issue a double shot of venom when Alvarez failed to make the agreed upon weight of 150 lbs. for his Matthew Hatton bout.

what about PBF? talking about the contracted weight...

I cannot find the article that I read a couple of years ago about this. It all started on this video.

How can I wish our good friend THE_MEXICAN el culero is here to at least provide us a little bit of translation from Spanish to English.

LoL. What a b.s. media fueled feud. For all you dingalings who think Marquez should fight Canelo, try thinking for once. Marquez tops out at 142. There's no rehydrating for extra weight. That's it. He was 6 pounds lighter than Pacquiao their last fight. Canelo, like Mayweather, can rehydrate over 160 pounds. Mayweather fought Marquez 20 pounds heavier. And when there was talk floating around about a Pacquiao / Martinez fight, Bob Arum point blank rejected such a notion, saying Martinez would enter the ring 20 pounds heavier than Pacquiao, and that it would be suicide. That's why the Mayweather fight was never made, and NEVER will be made.

JMM at 20 y.o. was earning cents compared to what Canelo is earning now. Furthermore, Canelo Promotions seems to be doing a lot better than JMM Promotions.

whose not jealous, at 21 years of age, canelo is already a world champ and year later, he is a multi millionaire. juan was almost 30 years old when he became the feather champ and still no dinero not until he fought pacman. he even challenged and lost to john for a peanut of $40k.
