Dan Rafael of ESPN.com said today, "Two industry sources told me (the numbers) look bad, under one million. If true, heavy money losses for Showtime." Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports responded, "Well under one million, I've heard."

If this is true then Floyd will have no choice but to fight opponents with bigger names. I don't think he has the luxury of picking out opponents any more.. Else it will be a flop every single time :)

True. Showtime will have to pair him with marketable opponents. Problem is they are the bigger ones in 154 like Canelo.

Canelo not in the undercard killed it.
Canelo proved his point to Floid No Money.

This is not shocking at all!..Only Floyd think's he's a crossover star like Pac, Ali and Oscar....

Kaya nga po ang tigas ng mukha nyan kung makipag negosasyon kay Pac, siya daw kasi ang Star. May tililing ampotah! :D

Fighting Amir Khan will surely reach above 1 million PPV.

Canelo might have indirectly forced the hand of Mayweather in refusing to fight in the undercard. Unless Mayweather is too self centered to realize the obvious.

The only reason he makes over a million ppv in his previous fights is because of the undercards. See the difference without Canelo?

to continue building the hype that floyd sells, al haymon and GBP will take the approach of having floyd's fight combined with another co-main ppv event fight being performed simultaneously in two places so they can easily "manage the ppv numbers".

Maybe some boxing fans just got fed up paying money to watch him fight that's all... He presents nothing new to the sport...

Always wins via UD...
Always runs away or hugs then wait for the referee to save him
Always giving a speedy 1 or 2 punch combination then run away
Always vocally intimidating during conferences, media coverage but doesn't engage inside the ring
Always full of hype

Personally I don't have problems with his style of boxing in a way he is not doing anything illegal to the sport. But maybe for some paying customers they don't want to see that type of fighting...

:D

And luckily for the paying fans even though Canelo vs Trout was not in the undercard, they were compensated by a very good fight from the De Leon vs. Mares fight. At least they sort of got half of their moneys worth...
