The thing i notice from Pactards is a lack of understanding of the sport, partly because Pactards never bothered to watch boxing if it doesnt involve Pacquiao. But its not just pactards, Most fans simply cannot comprehend why he's so good - instead he is called a runner, boring, and these same haters also bash his opponents as "not trying their best"

Now lets get down to the sweet science here for those that DO follow the sport. When you study the fights of Mayweather, you can clearly see he is making all the right adjustments in the ring. He has never been seriously hurt - and that is due to the fact he makes his opponents miss most of the time, and sometimes by mere inches. Case in point in the Canelo fight, Canelo was close to landing a big uppercut bomb, yet Floyd's reflexes, timing and footwork allowed him to evade the punch. He is also a master at using the ropes to his advantage. It is not simply his "shoulder roll" which allows him to be the best defensive boxer. The shoulder roll is just a tactic, any boxer could try it, but his boxing intelligence is what makes him the best defensive boxer. HE DOES NOT MAKE MISTAKES, and if he does at rare times he never pays the price.

While other boxers rely on trainers to tell them what to do in between rounds, Floyd is his own trainer.

I believe it all boils down to 3 things in why no boxer could ever beat this man:

1. Athleticism (natural gift) He was born to be a great athlete - fast hands, fast reflexes

2. Intelligence (natural gift) Again, this cannot be taught. You are either dumb, smart or somewhere in between. As far as boxing, he is intelligent and has no equal in the ring.

3. Training/preparation - I can't name a boxer who ever worked as hard as Floyd in training. Watch his videos and see how focused he is. He is not distracted by anything other than boxing.

Floyd is a once in a generation boxer and he proves that boxing is a sweet science - its a game of human chess and Floyd is a grand master!!!

Now all you haters of Floyd can go back to crying and whining, LOL

Some boxers are just really fast or really strong or just have adequate boxing IQ etc. You watch at Andre Ward and he's the perfect example of someone who fights smart but doesn't necessarily have the speed and agility that someone like Manny has who on the flipside gets hit a lot. Floyd has all the qualities of a very special boxer. If there is a knock on his game it's his unwillingness to take risks to finish fights but in the end he gets the job done.

He's definitely up there with the Sugar Rays, Sweet Pea, Pep, Ali, Burley

agreed. amazing talent indeed. just sucks that he and pac hasnt fought. having said that, pac is also an amazing fighter in his own right, making legends and very good fighters look average (sans marquez).

 mayweather is fast ,agree , good , but not the best , his courage as a boxer to take a lost is very questionable . Champions should fight champions of that era , not picking oponent that he know he can beat to the punch that why he agree to fight . During hes welterweight days he avoided so many boxers the likes of williams , cotto, margarito , he went hiatus coz hes afraid he loose , now hes fighting young flat footed fighters that he already size up that he can win before he fight . During the time of Leonard , Duran , Hearns and Hagler they all fought each other no effin excuse fighters that truely belong to the hall of fame . For me he cannot be called all time great until he truely unite the belts but until then he should be rank below this 4 true fighters . Punch and hold tactics is cheating , and until he truely fight a true dog fight he should be viewed as an effin CIRCUS as harlem globe trotters are good but but not great . Circus is out again to make money and a lot of succkers are buying it effin stowpid .

no doubt floyd is a great fighter just like Manny

....we can all debate till kingdom come of who is the greater between the two....but at the end of the day......we will not have a hand on what will be written in the history books of boxing.....we just admire their boxing skills and the difference in their skills set as well as attitude in the business of boxing

They should've fought during their peak, or Manny's peak. Manny's overall speed has slowed down dramatically. Floyd might be doing Manny a favor by not fighting him.
