Pacquiao is widely considered to be one of the greatest boxers of all time, the first and only eight-division world champion, having won eleven major world titles, as well as being the first boxer to win the lineal title in five different weight classes.

Pacquiao won over Rios in the 12-round match and the WBO International Welterweight title very easily and after the fight, Ríos tested positive for methylhexaneamine which is banned by many sports authorities and governmental agencies.

Horn's only blemish in his record was a technical draw with fellow Australian Rivan Cesaire when a clash of heads caused a deep cut in Cesaire's left eyebrow prompting the doctor to stop the bout in thr third round.

Even though Golden Boy and Haymon had a bitter falling out a few years ago – Golden Boy's $300 million lawsuit against Haymon was dismissed but is under appeal – they have been able to work out fights recently and they did a deal for Canelo Alvarez to fight Amir Khan in May 2016 and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on May 6.
