Penalosa said Jerwin will go up in weight, but doesn't feel like he will reach lightweight.

He can go up to bantamweight next year probably. Speaking of bantamweight, Donaire now wants to get back into bantamweight to meet Inoue, Tete, Burnett, etc in the world series. That would be interesting to see if he still can do it, provided the World Series organizers accept him.
