Naoya Inoue made his case as one of the top fighters in the world by destroying previously undefeated Emmanuel Rodriguez in two rounds to retain his WBA and win the IBF Bantamweight title. In the process, Inoue advances to the …

Ok, I think Inoue has now proven to be a top fighter 8)

Can't wait for the Donaire clash.

Very smart too, combining head and body finishing blows, excellent finisher. Moves out of the ropes well too, and has some head movement. Not one-shot style, but rather punches in combinations with good speed (at least in the early rounds).

Donaire will have his hands full, the Monster can KO by head or body shot.

Donaire's claim ot fame is his left hook, Inoue has more weapons. I think Inoue takes it too.

All the sparring partners of inoue said he hits like a lightweight. I think donaire may have walters flashback. He better trained like hell because possibly no one will give him a chance against inoue

During Donaire's prime years I would have chosen him over Inoue. However, Donaire's old at 36 while Inoue is young at 26. I think Donaire's slowing down a bit. Plus, Donaire's defense is poor. He tends to block punches with his face which will be a big mistake against Inoue. However, Donaire has been willing to take a punch to land a killer left hook, which has worked many times in the past. But I think who ever lands their nuclear bomb 1st will win the fight by knockout. Similar to the Deontay Wilder vs Dominic Breazeale fight. As Breazeale said, whoever lands their killer blow 1st will win by knock out and it so happened to be Wilder. Both Donaire and Inoue have the power to knock each other out but whoever lands it 1st, will most likely win the fight. Given Donaire's poor defensive skills I suspect Inoue may land his killer punch 1st. Hopefully he misses and Donaire could then counter with his own killer left hook and put Inoue down and out. Let's just wait and see.

Against a previously undefeated fighter, Inoue looked pretty good. I liked that after he knocked down Rodriguez, he then attacked the body and put him down twice more. He has killer instinct. He's also fast. They don't call him the Mini Mike Tyson for nothing. But if Donaire can land his signature left hook, Inoue is also going down. This will be a battle of 2 sluggers going to war waiting to drop their nuclear bomb.
