Pacquiao? He did less spectacular than the previous decade...

2010: Beat Clottey (Ranked 147) and Margarito (Unranked 154); Entered 2010 with 147-pound title; Won 154-pound title...
2011: Beat Mosley (Ranked 147) and JMM (Unranked 147; Ranked P4P); Vacated 154-pound title...
2012: Lose to Bradley (Unranked 147; Ranked P4P) and JMM (Unranked 147, Ranked P4P); Lose 147-pound title...
2013: Beat Rios (Unranked 147)...
2014: Beat Bradley (Champ 147; Ranked P4P) and Algieri (Unranked 147); Won 147-pound title...
2015: Lose to AXF (Champ 147; Ranked P4P); Lose 147-pound title; Failed unification attempt...
2016: Beat Bradley (Ranked 147; Ranked P4P) and Vargas (Ranked 147); Won 147-pound title; Won 147-pound lineal title; Vacated 147-pound lineal title...
2017: Lose to Horn (Unranked 147); Lose 147-pound title...
2018: Beat Matthysse (Champ 147); Won 147-pound title...
2019: Beat Broner (Unranked 147)...

Canelo wins it, hands down.
Gotta win his next two fights though.

CANELO ALVAREZ

Fought 22 times (2010 - 2018)

Notable opponents:
Carlos Badomir (ko)
Alfonso Gomez (tko)
Kermit Cintron (tko)
Shane Mosley (ud)
Austin Trout (ud)
Floyd Mayweather (L)
Alfredo Angulo (tko)
Erislandy Lara (sd)
James Kirkland (ko)
Miguel Cotto (ud)
Amir Khan (ko)
Chavez Jr. (ud)
Gennady Golovkin (d, w)

Canelo has been busy this decade. He fought marquee opponents and the most notable is his recent win against Golovkin. His only lost is against Floyd, but who didn't?

GENNADY GOLOVKIN

Fought 22 times (2010 - 2018)
Nobuhiro Ishida (ko)
Daniel Gearle (tko)
Martin Murray (tko)
Marco Rubio (ko)
Kell Brook (tko)
Daniel Jacobs (ud)
Saul Alvarez (d, L)
Vane Martirosyan (ko)

GGG is the most avoidable fighter of his generation, maybe because he's been knocking out every opponent he faced. But his critics argued that he only fights less calibre opponents. His failure to win against Canelo might cause him not to be chosen as FOTD.

FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR.

Fought 10 times (2010 - 2018)

Notable Opponents:
Shane Mosley (ud)
Victor Ortiz (ko)
Miguel Cotto (ud)
Robert Guerrero (ud)
Canelo Alvarez (ud)
Marcus Maidana (md, ud)
Manny Pacquoao (ud)
Andre Berto (ud)

Known as The Best Ever, Floyd never lost a fight. He fought big names of his era (eg pacquiao) and the generation after his (eg canelo). His inactivity this decade, wherein he only fought 10 time since 2010 might be a strong reason why he won't get the nod as the FOTD.

MANNY PACQUIAO

Fought 15 times (2010 -2019)

Notable Opponents:
Antonio Margarito (ud)
Shane Mosley (ud)
Juan Manuel Marquez (w, L)
Tim Bradley (L, w, w)
Floyd Mayweather (L)
Jeff Horn (L)
Lucas Matthysse (tko)
Adrian Broner (ud)

Pacquiao wasn't as explosive as he was in the last decade where he won the FOTD. Most of his losses happened this decade. Because of this
, it will be difficult to make a case for him as the Fighter of this decade.

TBE Floyd done his shift.
Could've been GGG hands down but the officials and the Homo promotion cheated the hell out of us, it should be 2-0 for Golovkin. And Clenbuterol guy Caneroids is a dirty disgusting drug cheat. He will never fight GGG without a deluge of roids flowing thru his system. Smh

Ring Magazine Fighter of the Year, 2010-2018:

2010 – Argentina Sergio Martínez
2011 – United States Andre Ward
2012 – Mexico Juan Manuel Márquez
2013 – Canada Adonis Stevenson
2014 – Russia Sergey Kovalev
2015 – United Kingdom Tyson Fury
2016 – United Kingdom Carl Frampton
2017 – Ukraine Vasyl Lomachenko
2018 – Ukraine Oleksandr Usyk

Sorry folks, no Pacquiao this time, not by a long mile. I don't think Canelo will get it, He's never won Fighter of the Year once.
It would have been Andre Ward if had he not retired in 2017 but who knows, im not sure if retired fighters are still eligible.

I think it's a toss between Fury (if he wins later this year) or Lomachenko if he gets his 4th division title.

Yes, Canelo has a huge chance of winning... If only his Clenbuterol problem can be overlooked, he's a sure fire winner...

AXF has been pretty much inactive for almost half of the decade, had an IV issue and fought McGregor... I'm pretty sure he's out of the choices...

He fought mostly bums... Chances of being in the choices is quite low...

Pacquiao has too much ups and downs this decade... Very low chance being in the choices...

Have to agree with King Ward and Loma...

Problem with King Ward is his inactivity since last year being retired and his injury sometime around 2012-2014...

For Loma, he has a good chance, next to Canelo... He'll definitely win if he becomes undisputed at 135, win a title at 140 or beat Mikey...

Fury? Why? The only significant thing he did was beating Klitschko, nothing else... He's also been inactive for 2 years and fought mostly bums...
