NEW YORK (May 24, 2019) --Tomorrow, 2016 United States Olympian, undefeated bantamweight Antonio Vargas will look for his 11th win without a loss when he takes on tough veteran Jose Cardenas in a scheduled eight-round bout atThe Osceola Heritage Park in Vargas' hometown of Kissimmee, Florida.

Vargas, who will be making his 2nd start of 2019, is coming off a 2nd round stoppage over 56-fight veteran Lucas Rafael Baez on February 22nd at The same venue, and he continues to step up the competition. Vargas holds a win over previously undefeated Jonathan Garza (6-0).

The 22 year-old Vargas has become a hometown draw as this will be his 7th appearance in Kissimmee.

Cardenas of Tijuana, Mexico has a record of 16-4 with 13 knockouts.

Also, 22 years-old, Cardenas is more than capable as he already has a 2nd round stoppage over previously undefeated Raul Esquer (12-0-1).

Vargas weighed 117.4 lbs at Friday's weigh in. Cardenas was 117.6 lbs.

Vargas is managed by Split-T Management and promoted by Top Rank.
