Solid action in this first round between Kazuto Ioka and Aston Palicte. This fight could potentially be really good if the action picks up even more. #IokaPalicte (via @CarlosToro360)

Aston Palicte’s punches are sharp and when they land, they do some damage. Left hook upstairs from Palicte midway through round 2 may have been the punch of the fight so far. 20-18 Palicte after 2 rounds #IokaPalicte (via @CarlosToro360)

Better work from Kazuto Ioka, landing the left hook well late in the third. He edges the third round in my scorecard 29-28 Palicte after 3 rounds #IokaPalicte (via @CarlosToro360)

Kazuto Ioka has tremendous defense and athleticism slipping under Aston Palicte’s punches. Ioka’s jab has also been working really well. I got Ioka up 48-47 after 5 rounds. #IokaPalicte (via @CarlosToro360)

Ioka can also take Palicte's punches

Palicted should heed his corner for the full fight, "distansiya lang"

First 2 minutes of round 7 was all Palicte, throwing bombs left and right, but Ioka was able to survive and throw a couple of good jabs late as Palicte might have tired himself out. 67-66 Ioka after 7 rounds #IokaPalicte (via @CarlosToro360)

Ioka is no slouch, he's good. He's trying to weaken Palicte with body punches, and Palicte is not fighting tall. He better KO Ioka, this is his hometown.

KO, Palicte lost. Ioka's hands are faster, and he does many combinations. Palicte is just 1-2.

Speed kills, smaller man wins.

Kazuto Ioka has a huge flurry of punches in round 10, hurts Aston Palicte and eventually stops him! Ioka is your new WBO super flyweight champion and first male Japanese boxer to win a world title in four different weight classes #IokaPalicte #Boxing

Palicte does not punch enough he is lazy fighter and waits too much. does not dictate the fight well.

Ok, Ancajas to the rescue, go avenge Palicte's loss lol

Ioka was like Pacman that time, fast hands, good combinations

It is not so much Palicte not punching enough (in fact he gassed out in the 7th by going for the knockout)

But it’s the skillful technique and movement of Ioka.

If I am Ancajas, I would avoid Ioka because Ancajas lacks the power to knock out Ioka. He will need to outbox him like Nietes and Nietes is way better than Ancajas in terms of boxing skill.
