Haay I miss those good old days.......Maybe we can still discuss intelligently in Pacland but it will take a collective change in the way we respond to threads. We need to stop minding topics that are baiting us into nonsense by taking a low blow at Manny.

I remember when this thread came out in 2010, nobody replied. Nagtaka na lang ako umabot na pala ng ilang pages this year. The only reason nothing changes after all these years is the lack of enthusiasm for other posters to put a little heart in their efforts. From years 2008 to 2010, ang daming magagandang threads and topics at maraming nagpaparticipate despite the contrasting views. Nowadays, nagpaparticipate na lang ang karamihan kapag me controversial topics against Manny.
Nobody replied, this is how threads are treated here in Pinoy Greats.
If you're thread is worthy and has essence, nobody or only a few
will respond or give their opinions/ideas.
But if the thread is garbage, posts will flood the TS.
Another thread that will attract posters is from a Pac hater.He/she will
criticize Manny nonsensely and of course Pacfans ( hundreds of them)
have to defend thir idol. When the arguments became hot, the elegances
of the posters disappear and the insults & name calling begin.
When a Pacfan degrades Floyd or Marquez, their fans will sprout and
debate the TS with malice & disrespect.
I remember helven ( who was a cool dude) lost his calmness in a thread,
something about catchweight i think; against a prominent poster also
whom he engaged in a very hot debate that ended in some name calling.
From thereon, i noticed bro.helven's interest in posting here in Pacland
diminished as maybe he wanted to avoid a repeatance of that ugly
exchanges as he was not accustomed to those lowly utterances.
BTW,another thread that attracted numbers of posters is the seemingly
comparison between Pac & Donaire from Donaire fans pretenders.
Unworthy as it looked, it attracted fans of both fighters and their posts
even humiliated both. Thus, the TS succeeded in earning many pages.

There are different types of posters here-one type is a joker and although
some of his posts are nonsense, they attract responses-he's SHOEGAZER
(aka Askal ).El Critico is always trying hard to criticize and insult Pac in
mostly one liners but he gets credit for it albeit he's losing his touch
nowadays.Another Pachater whom we need this renaissance was the ever
witty Fuego.Some of the elegant posters-Cinderella_Man,the Don,Tristan
Cruz seem to be holding back their punches and only Freewheeze is quite
active with some of his critical posts about Manny.

This Pacland has turned into a " masa " site with all kinds of posters
contributing different threads-funny,elegant,nonsense,insulting,impolite
,etc. But the excitement is still here with the growing numbers of what
they termed as Floydiots & Pactards. So be it,anyway, the mods are doing
thir best to control and implement the forum rules.

To sum it up,the TS' call for renaissance is commendable but quite
impossible. It may come only when Floyd,JMM and Pacquiao hang up
their boxing gloves and Pacland could return to its old self. :D
long post but pretty much sums it all up :D
To add one more thing, Politics has crawled in here in Pacland just to destroy Manny's image and credibility. All topics of Manny's political life should be posted in the politics section and not here in the frontpage. I don't know about you but I think 99% of us here are proud of Manny as a boxer, so lets leave the front page at that. Religion, politics etc ,etc about Manny should be posted elsewhere.

and another year again to resurface, at least somebody made "halukay sa baul" at hindi sa basurahan. The site had evolved into somewhere where a lot of posters are trying to be funny or witty. Everybody knows that to discourage trolling is not to feed them, but somehow it seems nobody wants to. oh well, i guess to wait is in order for another renaissance period to come.

Yeah, I agree it's time for a change.

I think Floyd's cowardice far exceeded his bravery.

You can change or stay the same.

2014 could be the last hurrah.

Man up Floyd. Fight Pacman!

Some would try in vain to make PG a boxing website that it only sometimes is.

for the most part, Pacland is for those that follow Pacquiao only IMO.

You could feel the buzz here whenever there's talk of anything wherein Pacquiao is involved.

Way back you'd really love this site because you know there will be a healthy exchange of ideas and a lot of nice debates... Now its mostly trash.

The mod to member ratio is really low that's why i think the best solution is to add plenty of moderators, the more active ones who'd enforce the guidelines...

We have some mods here whose last visit was couple of years back, crazy...

there was one moderator openly calling forumers to stop posting in this site, di ko na matandaan kung sino.
nagkaron yata ng kudeta dito dati...
