i couldnt help but think dat pinoy fighters are more relying on their vaunted power rather than being technical. condes' loss to garcia is an example of dis. i really think dat mexicans hav better trainers & are more scientific.

i can only think of penalosa as d only exception to this.

in d end, we cant win em all if its all about power & speed. For manny, der will come a time...

Unfortunaltey I agree we need to concentrate more on boxing skill if we ever want to reach the level that the Mexcian fighters have achieved. You can't knock everyone out.

well separate Manny from them, he's not all about Power & Speed only, yeah he was not a technical boxer, even now we can't say that he's an excellent technical fighter but there are lots of attributes that Manny possesses that makes him what he is today. Manny had a very strong motivation in every fight, tremendous aggressiveness, a devil may care attitude, a very big heart, and if we may add an underrated chin that makes him durable, the passion in the game, so many things to be said that’s why Manny is completely an exception.

I may not agree with you that Manny's time might come sooner, but a much bigger possibility that Manny end his career at his very best.
