We know you got power and so does your opponents. We know you got a powerful left hook and yes, so does the guy in front of you. Please stop going for that early knockout, you got people spoiled, and when you didn't deliver it makes you look bad. A win is a win, that's my take, I get more excited when you're active with your jabs and combinations. Invest on that body shots, remember Kabayan Mares and Rigondeaux is not an early knockout candidates so I hope when you face them stay with your basics jabs, combination and like I said pay attention to your body shots it will pay dividends as the fight progress. We all like knockouts but I will rather see you with a "W "than wasting your energy looking for that early knockout, it makes you look foolish fishing with that expected vaunted left hooks. So Kabayan, I think we would rather see you win and it doesn't matter to me if it's by KO or UD, just remember a win is a win!

It's a good thing Garcia is in there to remind him not to get too crazy. Donaire's trying to be an entertainer that's why he's trying to take em out early. I recall before he gets criticized for waiting too much.

Nonito just needs to find the right balance.

Fully agree with everything you stated. Nonito has fallen in love with his power and has looked gradually less technicalLy sound. He's just headhunting with single power shots and when he misses he leaves himself wide open. Nonito needs To start not giving a damn about pleasing people and just win fights with a jab and sound defense. I guarantee that he'll have more opportunities to counter with his left if he had more patience and fought more defensively.

It was so frustrating to watch him headhunting, throwing one shot at a time and abandoning his jab and overall boxing capability. I think he gassed out. I'm sure he felt that Mathebula got hurt on the 11th after that flush right cross yet he didn't have the energy to attempt to finish him off or at least follow up on it. I also didn't like the fact that he was expending more energy showboating instead of letting his hands go more often.

Not as impressive but still a convincing win. And no midget this time. So props to Nonito for that. :)

my conversation with my kuya while watching donaire's fight:

kuya: donaire is getting impatient
me: methabula will not just extend his jaw so he can hit him cleanly he needs to work more
kuya: tama ka, he is waiting all night to land a big shot that will knock him cold.

kaya tama si TS

congrats nonitz

That's what Pacquiao has been doing since Margarito and he became boring!

Heck I was so frustrated that I wanted to freaking harpoon my tv so I can get his attention to stay with the basics and box. Thank goodness I think he heard me after the second half he started doing what I wanted him to do in the first place!

Bro, Manny is different, I think Pacman is just pure power and speed so the KO was always expected. This is Nonito, he is a technical fighter with a power, he loses his technical abilities whenever he relies on his power. He is more like Mayweather, a boxer, and I think the more he moves up in weight he really need to rely more on his technical savvy because I still don't know if he will be able to carry his power in the higher weight class. Yes, he scored knockdowns with Vazquez and Mathebula but they still got up and fought on, unlike with Montiel and Darchinyan, they got paralyzed when they fought in the lower weight class. Maybe I'm wrong and I hope he does, maybe he will carry his power above and beyond, and will make us all proud!
