The only way Mares could win against Donaire is by hitting Nonito below the belt

Donaire's list of victims (partial):

1. Toshiaki Nishioka
  • Number one super bantamweight in the world by The Ring
2. Wilfredo Vazquez Jr.
  • Defeated Pinoy world champion Marvin Sonsona to win the WBO Super Bantamweight title
3. Omar Andres Narvaez
  • Number one super flyweight in the world by The Ring
4. Fernando Montiel
  • Number seven fighter pound-for-pound in the world and the number one bantamweight according to The Ring
5. Vic Darchinyan
  • The fight earned the 2007 Ring Magazine Knockout of the Year and Upset of the Year.

You were saying, johnnyj.

Note, johnnyj, against a common opponent, Vic Darchinyan, Mares only managed to win by split decision, which was highly controversial due to the constant low blows of Mares. On the other hand, Donaire totally dominated and knocked out Darchinyan. Asa ka?!

Mares is dirty fighter, period. It gets worse if the referee turns a blind eye on the illegal tactics, like the Darchinyan and Agebeko fights.

Hugaw gyud moduwa. I really believe he should have been disqualified in the Darchinyan fight and the first Agbeko fight.

nishioka-40 year old coming off a 18 month layoff when donaire challenged him
vasquez jr-no amateur exp, claim to fame beating a overhyped filipino bum in sonsona, lost to a old ringworn arce by tko
narvarez- matchmaking at its finest, p4p donaire vs old middle aged boxer, undersized and nonito with all his "skill" couldnt overwhelm the midget for the knockout(& some of you try to compaire this fraud to roy jones jr ...smh)
montiel-decent win but by then montiel was a faded champ who prior to knocking out hasegwa was a huge underdog note if montiel was still in his prime would have been the favorite against the jap
darchinyan comparisons between mares and donaire has eveything to do with styles making fights for example marquez and pacquaio go three close contraversial fights but marquez gets dominated by floyd so in your theory floyd beats pacquaio right? either way mares resume > donaire

Sorry, brother. Subjective assessment will lead you nowhere.

"This-and-this was a faded fighter, this-and-this was overhyped. Blah blah blah blah." Paghilum diha uy. Panalagma ka lang.

theres a reason why donaire begged arce to fight him in mexico, arce the semiretired midget who has 70 fights and QUIT in his last outing
p4p? lets replace this fraud with viloria, who doesnt mind fighting the top guns, I hear he wants chocolito next unlike donaire who will probably call out rafa marquez next

You seem to have a personal grudge against Donaire, brother. (What's with the name-calling? Fraud?) In case you didn't notice, or you weren't informed, Nonito is currently the top five pound-for-pound fighter in the world, was as high as top three.

Now, relax on your emotions. Mares is not that famous, or that well-accomplished, to have a Mares-tard. Too early for that. And no name-calling next time please, even if you don't like the fighter.

my dislike for donaire has everything to do with the matchmaking around him, since you know something about the so called "p4p" list why dont you revisit that list and tell me who on there ISNT fighting the best opposition around their weight class, mayweather, pacquaio, ward, marquez, martinez, mares, bradley, are all fighting the best fighters except klitckho and donaire, its not klitckhos fault the heavy div is weak, but not the case with donaire, he cant duck rigo, mares, moreno, heck even a darchinyan rematch would top a arce bout

So you dislike him based on this one upcoming fight, in spite of his past fights that lifted him into the pound-for-pound elite status (Darchinyan, Montiel, Nishioka). You surely have a very high standard.

Don't you realize that when he faced Nishioka, the Japanese was considered the best of his division. And Darchinyan was the most feared little man, knocking out everybody that faced him. And Montiel was inside the pound-for-pound best in the world. And now you hate him for this one fight. Or maybe because you hate him all along, personal grudge perhaps, or maybe you just hate him, period, with no particular reason.

Donaire defeated legitimate champions with belts, your boy Mares can't win belts without hitting everyone below the belt
