Expect world champion Nonito Donaire Jr. to have a “real man’s fight” when he shares the ring with Mexican superstar Jorge Arce on December 15. Arce is known for his no holds barred, all-or-nothing fighting style. His brawling ways helped him compile a total of 61 wins

Donaire wiil experience the real war in his weight division, against Arce. This will be the most exciting fight for the super bantamweight Div

I don't think it would be a real war. Early knock out will come if Arce will attack like a brawler. Donaire is an excellent counter puncher. Arce can't avoid Donaire's powerul left hook.

"...when he gets inside the ring iba talaga ‘yan, tunay na lalaki 'yan eh,"

we all know how stupid it will be for Arce to charge Nonito like he usually does in his other fights.
do we really have to be stupid just to be considered a "real man"?

bravery doesn't necessarily include stupidity. not being able to do the right thing because of stupid
pride is cowardice IMHO... :)

On the contrary, I think this will be a short night for Arce. 8)

But still Arce is a total warrior inside the ring, as what we can see in ALL of his fights. And there is a possibility that he would attack Donaire as he thinks he got the bigger body than Donaire and thinks tougher than him. Donaire's best advice, just prepare his multiple counter power punches

Can Arce handle the power? And, if he can, can Donaire and his fragile hand endure a rough-and-tough match up.
I remember James Toney being an underdog against Iran Barkley. Style wise, the counter fighter has all the attributes to peel Arce like an orange. Barkley forced and forced, while Toney picked him to pieces.
It seems possible that this is going to bear itself out against Arce, who is great fun to watch, but possible outmatched.
One thing for sure, I'm watching it.
What do you think?

Good comparison in fights but Toney was a pretty heavy favorite going into the fight he was still undefeated and Barkley even though he had a good winning streak going had already gone through a 3 loss in a row stretch including being KO'd in one by Nigel Benn and losing to the same Michael Nunn that Toney got his belt from.

I just checked the betting odds on this fight. At bet365, place $100 on Donaire to win $8.33
Place $100 on Arce to win $700.

Another fight with mismatch written all over it!

For me this is just a tune up fight for nonito. For those who followed both fighters career arce is not the caliber fighter that nonito should be fighting having lost to darchinyan, mares, and romero. This is a low risk low reward for nonito. Hopefully he will be fighting
"real" elite opponent in the bantamweight and featherweight division...

depends on how these fighters bring their styles and skills inside the ring. both of them will avoid the early KO. Pacmans brutal KO might be in their minds during the fight.

Everyone one of them will take a lesson from what had happened to Pacquiao
