I hope Nonito doesn't become as big and famous as Manny (he won't be anyway). I preferred the times when Manny wasn't known to the mainstream yet. If Nonito becomes really famous, there are gonna be haters all over again. Manny gave us Filipinos something to be proud of, but he also gave non-Filipinos reasons to hate Filipinos, but that's mostly because of the goddamn Pactards. I don't want to have Nonitards. Nonitards = attracting Filipino haters all over again

why not simply hope that there won't be too many rabid "Nonitards" even if Nonito becomes as big and famous as Manny?

I think 147 might be a stretch. Apparently he walks around 140 although 147 is definitely attainable as he fills up his body as he gets older.

Nonito, big fan...I know you are focused on your upcoming match, but how high in weight do you think you can go in your career?

Nonito Donaire
(3:11 PM)

I could probably go to 130 in a few years. I walk around at 140 if I'm not training. That's in the future, though.

Not with that brittle hand.
I think he'll top at 130.

Since he's in boxing not in MMA, Donaire could actually win 10 or 12 titles !!!!!!

Only in boxing you could have another division with a 7lb, 6lb, 5lb, 4lb or why not 3lb weight difference. Anything is possible in this sport. Hell, if you loose a title, you could always fight for the following belts:

Diamond
Champion emeritus
Regular
Interim

Now if you can't make the weight but you're a star then you could demand a catchweight to gain the advantage.

Boxing is awesome.

I consider an Interim Champion as a legitimate champion because the sanctioning body also recognize that particular boxer as their champion also... Also considering those who are Super Champion of course...

TS, just don't forget that along with Donaire, the other belt holders ages too. By the time he is aiming for greatness against some of the great, these boxers would have retired.

that's in my note...

Note:
*Those current champs of course may not still the champion in these coming years, just want to have some looks of it.
*His manager must intelligently handle negotiations...
*Catch-weight sometimes necessary
*May resort to select weakest division champ, ala Sugar Ray Leoard vs. Lalonde or Roy Jones Jr. vs. John Ruiz, etc
.

to sum it up -we're talking plausible scenarios on Nonito's boxing career... whether be funny or intelligent shares... angry/violent attacks could spoils it... pick your choice.
so, who's gonna play the spoiler dudes?

What's plausible is Mares or Rigo next.

Funny shares is an understatement.

Where's the angry/violent attacks?

Sounds like Pactardism is beginning to infect Nonito's career.

Sorry if me being a realist is spoiling imaginary play time on Pacland.
