It's too early for hyping Donaire replicating what Pacquiao had done.
If he's really serious of his craft and be able to stay rigid discipline.
Training hard and staying focus like an elite fighters level of course he can possibly accomplish all of the above.
It's interesting to see who'll be Donaire's "Joe Frazier" along the way. :boxing: :boxing: :fire: :fire:

Lightweight maybe be his heaviest. Looking at his frame, Nonita has smaller bone structure compared to Pac. You add mass while going up in weights, thus bone and muscle proportion is very important.

The similarity is there. Pacquiao first became a world champion at 112 and so is Donaire.
I say he better move up to 126, then 130. Then a short stop at 135 and 140. Then 147.

It is possible.. 8)

I think Donaire could go up as high as Junior Welterweight.

it doesnt matter if how many weight classes as long as he keep on winning against top notch competitors.

The only top notch fighters he beat were Darchinyan and Montiel. The rest were past their prime.

Stop the comparison between Nonito and Manny.
They’re both great Filipino athlete -that makes us proud.
Naturally, each one has their own fame and fortune.
Now talking about Donaire, he’s really gifted -very intelligent and focus fighter.
His time will come for sure…
Imo, he’ll be able to accomplish 6-7 weight division champ or perhaps 8?
For the record, he got 4 now…
FLYWEIGHT
(112 pounds) 1) Accomplished

JR BANTAMWEIGHT
SUPER FLYWEIGHT
(115 pounds) 2) Accomplished

BANTAMWEIGHT
(118 pounds) 3) Accomplished

JR FEATHERWEIGHT
SUPER BANTAMWEIGHT
(122 pounds) 4) Accomplished at age 30

FEATHERWEIGHT
(126 pounds) 5) highly possible… he can start in the middle or late next year
In the mix with
WBO IBF WBA WBC
Orlando Salido Billy Dib (m) Chris John Daniel Ponce De Leon

JUNIOR LIGHTWEIGHT
SUPER FEATHERWEIGHT
(130 pounds) 6) highly possible… he can start at age 32
In the mix with
WBO IBF WBA WBC
Rocky Martinez Juan Carlos Salgado (l) Takashi Uchiyama Gamaliel Diaz

LIGHTWEIGHT
(135 pounds) 7) possible… he can start at age 32 or 33
In the mix with
WBO IBF WBA WBC
Ricky Burns Miguel Vazquez (k) Vacant Adrien Broner

LIGHT WELTERWEIGHT
SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT
(140 pounds) 8) still possible… he can start at age 34 or 35
In the mix with
WBO IBF WBA WBC
Juan Manuel Marquez Lamont Peterson (i) Danny Garcia (j) Danny Garcia

WELTERWEIGHT
(147 pounds) 9) Hard for his body frame to compete at this weight… but he can try, his age maybe 35, 36 or 37 this time… Take a look at Marquez -still great at 39! He should do what Marquez did in training with Pac Marquez IV, he can add Heredia in his team (just kidding).
In the mix with
WBO IBF WBA WBC
Timothy Bradley Jr. Devon Alexander (g) Paulie Malignaggi (h) Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Note:
*Those current champs of course may not still the champion in these coming years, just want to have some looks of it.
*His manager must intelligently handle negotiations...
*Catch-weight sometimes necessary
*May resort to select weakest division champ, ala Sugar Ray Leoard vs. Lalonde or Roy Jones Jr. vs. John Ruiz, etc.

I believe this is really possible.
What's your take dudes?

Agree!
For sure, he can do it.
But do it with fashion, don't just aim for the record.

This is good... Even Pac did not expect to go upto the 147lbs, when he fought David Diaz, he was asked after the fight if he will go up to welterweight division and he said NO (in a laughing mode).

But who knows... if Nonito believe that he is fit enough to fight in a heavier weight class, then we will be happy for it.. :D

i agree... he will need his punching power to grow in proportion to his weight if he wants to climb a few more weight classes... unfortunately, the bones in his fists probably won't grow any stronger than how it is right now. If his left hand gets broken with his current punching power, I wonder what would happen if he will hit stronger than this...

:(

that'll be a lingering question for now...
they should really do something about it.
