Assuming a fight with Mares and Rigondeaux materialized, whos hard to beat and will give Donaire a hell of a fight?

For me it would be Mares due to his agression, experience and he has beaten credible opponents than rigondeaux.

how about you folks?

RIGO...i think he could be like Narvaez and frustrate Donaire...only difference is that Rigo will throw punches unlike Narvaez

Mares will indeed be more aggressive and come forward but as we saw with Arce and Montiel, coming forward gets you KTFOed

True. Mares got nailed so many times by Anselmo Moreno but the Panamanian just doesn't have the power. Now imagine Donaire hitting Mares with the same type of consistency.
Compubox stats for power punches had Moreno hitting Mares at a 37% clip while the Mexican was credited with 27%. Of course Mares threw more punches.

and thats the real reason Donaire is always so hesitant when asked about Rigo. He says he dont deserve it and is boring. hahaha

cuz he knows that an action fighter who got hit will be easier for him to beat - i cannot blame him

Rigo definitely! If NDjr fights Mares, i thinks it's an easy fight for him. I saw one of Mares fight and noticed that most of the time he is careless and defenseless. NDjr will definitely exploit that weakness of Mares. Rigo is way better. Rigo is faster and stronger than Mares. A fight with Rigo and NDjr is way more interesting to see.

I agree, Rigo's a sly cat with incredible reflexes. A very smart pugilist that "may" frustrate ND. He wouldn't be a standout amateur boxer winning the olympic gold twice for nothing.
Come to think of it, why is ND calling out other easy to hit, over the hill midgets when there is another champ who's calling him out and willing to engage with him anytime :smoke:

Rigo's style for ND is hard to beat.. Nonito would be forced to pressure him, which I think he's not good at it. Mares would be easy for ND, he will just wait for his sonic-boom to connect and then its over for Mares.. :hat:

Rigo is harder to fight as he's very hard to hit, but one shot maybe all that's needed.

Mares is easier due to his aggressive style but might be much more durable.

He'll earn greater respect beating Rigo but earn more against Mares.

Hope he picks the right one for his next fight.
