Well, husband and wife now finally admit they don't belong in the featherweight division, and Donaire will continue on in a lower weight.

However, he has been exposed already several times, he only relies on his knockout counterpunch that can turn the tide. He is not a complete fighter, and his next opponents now know it and will just outbox him, unless of course they are just brawlers or want to test their chin.

ND can't carry his weight over 122 lbs. This is why PacMan is special.

Pacman was underweight in his youth, not enough food lol

Kidding aside, he just grew I guess. Oscar de la Hoya also moved up many weights successfully, from super featherweight. Same with Floyd, also from superfeatherweight.

I hope Ancajas, Thepora, etc can go further up to lightweght, or even light welterweight.

I think Nonito's the same guy just a little older. He still has some speed and power. His style is the same, but that will never work against an active fighter. I think he relies too much on his left hook. Once that is taken away from him, he goes into a shell. Of course, beat downs are much worse these days considering that he's old (reflexes aren't the same). Best thing to do right now is probably walk away before taking permanent damage to his health. He's already a 5 division world champion and he has nothing to prove at this point. Hate to see this guy become a sort of a stepping stone or gate keeper. He deserves better than that.

ND is slower at 126. Well, he tried it but there is a limit for everything. C. Frampton is younger than him and a lot faster. He won by clinic. ND face was mess. ND may need a better trainer and a conditioning coach (leave the wifey at home). And yesl by all means go back to 122 limit. My GOD what the hell was Rach doing in his corner, she probably does not want to pay an extra guy. LOL. ND probably did not want his face mess up because his wife was at his corner and that's exactly what happened to him. There was a little clash of heads in round 7 he turned his back because of the accidental head-butt. He can't do that unless the ref will call a time out. He tried to call a time out for himself! What a mess!

Nonits needs to walk away now or get abused by younger more active boxers. He was getting abused by Magdeleno and Frampton. His career will look sad from here on if he continues. He doesn't throw punches or just can't throw punches and is getting pot shoted easily. Sad to see really. I don't think he should continue he is done at this level. Frampton was just toying with him.Nonits offered very little resistance and was just a walking punching bag.

I admire nonito's courage fighting frampton in his own backyard. He never backs down from challenges. He could have avoided a prime rigondaux in the peak of his career and cash out on bums just like what other boxers did but he chose to fight the best. He could have avoided walters, magdaleno and frampton and fought champions that are easy pickings. During the limelight of his career he gave honor to our country and made us proud to be filipinos. At the end of the day, he will have peace of mind knowing he tried and fought the best rather than having that void feeling asking himself "what if?". I do agree that he should retire or move down to 122 if he would continue to fight.

Yes! Salute to Nonito, he made us proud during his Championship years! Now just like every other Boxers the sun had set in and time had slowed him down, I think it's time to hang up and just enjoy and relax with his family. There's more things to offer in Boxing besides being a Boxer, I think he should pursue either being a Trainer or a Promoter or just find another career. Thank you, always Proud of the Filipino Flash!

Nonito is a criminology major and lives in Law Vegas.
He will probably work as a cop someday.

If that's true, not bad! Good benefits for the family, and pension is great after service.
