Elvis has left the building. He got a huge doughnut for his (lack of) effort, courtesy of Albin Ouschan.

Efren is trailing Karl Boyes by a game, 5 games to 6...

Efren trailed by 3, 5 games to 8, brought it to double-hill but eventually lost to Karl Boyes.
So far, 9 are in, and 2 are out, Elvis and Efren. We still have a bunch of Pinoys trying to
earn their ticket to the knockout stages (Round of 64) today.

I'll try to keep you posted...

For the evening session, which starts right about now, we got Israel Rota going up against Manuel
Gama, Alex Pagulayan vs. Ivica Putnik, Lee Vann Corteza vs. Salem, and Felicilda vs. Obaidly...

The best match of the evening session is definitely the Corey Deuel/Cheng Chieh match...

tied at 2 games apiece, while Lee Vann is trailing Salem, 2 games to 3...

Alex is representing Canada , btw.
And he just escaped by the hair of his teeth moments ago.
Putnik made a huge mistake of getting too straight on the 4-ball at the end rail.
Or malas lang sya.

The final 64 is up and jeez I had no idea they were to over saturate the upper brackets with pinoys! They'll be trouncing each other till the bitter end where there'll be one left and who knows what might transpire in the finals. I'm not entirely pleased with this draw at all. If you compare the brackets this year to that of 2013, there is a massive difference. The pinoys were spread out evenly, top brackets consisting of 7 and bottom half we have 5 players. This time we have a total of 10 players that occupy the top half and only 2 pinoys in the other half. This feels like a sabotage to our players. I'm not even sure if Gabica and Gallego will very make it very far looking at the players they will be up against, although Gabica might prove me wrong again, and has been playing great in his first two matches. Gallego however seems to falter under pressure.

Also, take a look at tables 17 and 20, an all Taipei match-ups, odd and this early? never seen this happened before.

What do you think of this? :?

I smell conspiracy by WPA.
They lumped the Pinoys and Taiwanese together so they'd be eliminating their fellow countrymen.

Round of 64 -- Knockout stage

The ongoing noon session featured 6 Pinoys in action.

Raymund Faraon made short work of Cheng Chieh, winning 11 games to 5
Johann "Bubwit" Chua was more impressive with an 11 games to 4 trashing of Corrieri
Likewise with Elmer Haya who had a similar scoreline like Chua's, beating compatriot Felicilda
Lee Vann Corteza ended his lackluster campaign with a loss to Majed, 11 games to 6
Warren Kiamco is holding a 9 games to 8 advantage over the Chinese phenom, Wang Can
