Gesta is not good on his defense. Not a good match for Gesta for now imo.

Thats right bro, hahaha but its not his fault either fighting bums one after another and keeps his marketability low. He is calling out marquez and rios to step up the competition. He will have his time soon
Like I said bro Gesta cannot callout anybody especially if it is a named, ranked or beltholder fighters without bringing anything with him in the table. He must build his stocks first imo.

Probably would never happen because of the promoters and the fact that Gesta hasn't even beat a Lightweight champion. I wish he would step up the competition.

Gesta's a bit small for Garcia. And a bit raw. And a bit untested.

Im a big fan of Gesta and IMO this should be an easy fight for Mercito but of course we are yet to see him fight tough opposition that is why as a fan i want to see him in the ring with boxers who can give him problems...Garcia would be a good test for him...this fight will tell if how durable Mercito is...

but then again this fight has a very slim chance to happen because both of them are in the different sides of the fence...

Who at 140 has Gesta beat ?

The question is who did he beat at 135? He hasn't beaten an elite or even a B class fighter. The kid needs to be tested first before he could be mentioned in the same breath as Marquez or even a Brandon Rios.

a glimpse of gesta next opponent

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKeLO89J6IE
http://www.examiner.com/article/no-clow ... ty-barnett

The 29-year-old Barnett is from the Washington, D.C. area, home to several top boxers such as brothers Lamont and Anthony Peterson, and the place where he nurtured his dreams of becoming a prizefighter.

Who is Ty Barnett? Exclusive Interview

"Me, Lamont and Anthony (Peterson), we all came up together from the amateurs all the way to the pros. We had the same trainer for many years and we are all very familiar of each other. Kind of like brothers. I watched them all fight in the amateurs and the pro," Barnett said and continued, "With me, I started fighting when I was young. Fought in the Nationals, the Golden Gloves, the USA, the junior Olympics, I fought in the PAL a couple of times. I've been around, but I took a short break in the amateurs. My style wasn't really suited for the amateurs. I always had more of a pro style. I really didn't like the amateurs. I couldn't wait to turn pro."

As far as his fighting style is concerned, Barnett considers himself as a " boxer-puncher". "I can box and I can bang when needed. When adjustments need to be made, I can make them," Barnett claimed.

Barnett vows to make the most out of his opportunity to fight on ESPN Friday Night Fights against a highly-touted opponent, and crush Gesta's title hopes altogether.

"This is my coming out party for me right here. It's a late introduction, but it's better now than never. I'm looking forward to going out and upsetting this guy in sensational fashion. I'm going to introduce the world to Ty Barnett. They must see me. I'm the best kept secret," said Barnett.

The Guy is a little better than Danny Garcia but he will be an easy prey for Gesta
