Someone made a thread about the idea of JMM vs Danny Garcia and many of the replies were JMM will school and demolish Garcia as he is a tad slow.

Since Gesta's name is being mentioned as a future probable opponent for Marquez, then why not Gesta vs. Garcia?

What do you think about this match-up?

This fight is impossible to make...GBP and TR are not going to make this happen.

Mercito will be tested tho if this fight happens (only because Garcia looks solid @ 140)...but still i got my boy Mercito winning by late TKO ...

Gesta is not going to be like Khan who stays infront of Danny thats for sure.

Correct! Gesta has not fought a top-tier fighter. He just keep on fighting unknown bums. Painful but it's true.

Who was Danny Garcia before this fight? It was the perfect shot for him and he won it, same with Gesta, let's give Gesta a chance. I believe he can fight him fare and square, Garcia is not a technical fighter, he only throws those wild punches, it's just that Amir was playing stupid, he did not use his reach, instead, everytime he got hit with strong shots, he moves in. I will give gesta a 50 50 chance in this fight.

I agree.

Every fighter needs that one big break to get into the elite status. Manny Pacquiao got his big break against Marco Antonio Barrera. Donaire got his against Vic Darchinyan. Sonny Boy Jaro has Pongsaklek Wonjongkam. Brian Viloria has Ulises Solis. And the list goes on.

I really think its time for Mercito Gesta to get that shot.
