[quote="The Butcher"]
Light Flyweight - 108 Pounds
Juanito Rubillar (41-10-7, 18 ko’s)
Sonny Boy Jaro (25-6-5, 15 ko's)
Brian Viloria (19-2-1, 12 ko's)
Wyndel Janiola (18-4-1, 9 ko’s)

Better get the Margarita Punch off the list. He don't belong there!!!

Even if Viloria isn't a champion, he can still be a contender. At worst, he could be a gatekeeper, and at best, can win another title or two. All he needs is a toe-to-toe kind of champ to go up against. Then he won't have to initiate the action. Fits perfectly for his wait-and-see, counter-punch style.

Easy there partner.

Look, I'm not saying I'm a fan of his style or anything. And he sorely suffers from lack-of-heart at the moment. His performances against Romero and Sosa were pitiful, and I wasn't that all impressed with him against Aguirre either. But he's still got a 19-2 record with 12 ko's. He's only 26 years old, and he still packs quite a punch. Unless you've heard of any retirement news that I haven't heard about, I don't see why Viloria can't pick it all up and start from square one. I'm not saying he should be thrown in there against Mijares, Arce, Montiel or Darchinyan right away. Give him a tune-up. Hell, give him 5 tune-ups. Have him knock out a few. Get his confidence back up. You want to take it slow, give him 2 years worth of non-title fight implications. For all you know, it'll be the year 2009, he'll be on a 6 or 7-fight win streak against mediocre opposition stopping 4 of them, he'll be 28 and in his prime, and he'll be in line for another serious challenge. Is it likely to happen? Maybe, maybe not. Possible? Sure. Until any of these things do, or do not happen, I'll be keeping him here in the 'Top Filipino Boxers (Champions and Contenders)' list for now.

Good that you realize too.

Regarding that wait if he'll get on a win streak to get the confidence back, well good luck to both of you. I aint followin' him anymore.
