Whoa. Tunacao looked as if he wasn't going to be able to finish the fight.

But a nice win for the former champion. That OPBF belt should boost his ranking, especially in the WBC rankings. Not sure if Tunacao will be able to hang with the current "cream of the crop" in the Bantamweight class though. Given his age, Tunacao might be looking as if he's past his prime.

Just my opinion though, and I hope I'm wrong. :)

Tunacao is already washed up when Pongsaklek Wonjongkam destroyed him in the 1st round.Since then his skills deteriorate. He's more past prime than Penalosa at least Penalosa can still hang on the best bantamweights out there and can be a champion again.

Let's hope Penalosa can pull off a good victory on Saturday, Feb 13 then. His opponent, Eric Morel, is a little bit of a volume puncher.

Our current group of Bantamweight contenders don't look so bad either:

Gerry Penalosa
AJ Banal
Ciso Morales
Michael Domingo
Jundy Maraon
