We all heard about what happened to our fellow filipino in Iloilo City and sadly one of our fellow paclander and my personal friend jorge (Yetboh) is one of the victims of the flash flood caused by typhoon FRANK..

Last Saturday, we Cebu Paclanders recieved a text message from our fellow cebu pacs yetboh telling us that they (his family and other families in iloilo) badly needs our prayers as flood waters already engulfed thier house and reached thier house's ceiling and still rising, and that they were currently in thier nieghbors second floor house with 5 other families in it. Thankfully the flood water started to go down after an hour.. Maybe our prayers got a little something to do with it. :D though most of my fellow cebu paclander is not fond of praying at least they did last saturday.. u can ask ironwood, levi and flanker..

But still our fellow paclander needs to start from scratch after losing all his appliances, cars, and his house needs a lot of repairs including his newly opened business (biz depot like bussiness) who lost all his machineries and stocks which come from his hard earned retirement money.

With that we would like to ask any support you can give to our fellow paclander yetboh may it be moral or financial support.

I suggest we should course through all the possible donation to a foundation long established by a reputable organization like red cross, abs-cbn sagip foundation or gma kapuso foundation, to ensure that all donations will reach to the victims.

Donations to individual accounts is not advisable. thanks

Yung mga gusto mag-donate oks lang pero personally, against ako sa ganitong klaseng pag solicit kse pwedeng take advantage ng ibang tao. Have seen a lot of people doing this only to find out na hindi pala tutuong me sakuna. Ang sakin lang e kelangan lang i-channel sa paraan na safe, secure at sigurado.

Maganda naman ang intention but then again we may have people taking advantage of this.

Actually just a sharing from me guys...

I lost my home in Iloilo. It was wrecked but the floor current and all our things are useless. We are currently in Australia and left our 2 y/o daughter in Iloilo. The flood was so quick that within 15 minutes everything was submerge 9 feet inside our house. Is really hard to imagine my daughter sleeping/staying in the rooftop for 13 hours without us by her side.

Now, they are okay and safe. But last night my daughter woke up screaming "baha! baha!" and calling her grandparents and yaya all night. She was disturbed.

My parents told me even rich people in Iloilo experienced staying at the rooftop.

We can never use all our furnitures and we need to start all over again but its better compared losing somebody very important to you. My dad told me the if it happened at night, they could have died. Then I realized it is a matter of life and death.

Prayers for all our beloved kababayans!

Maayong gab-i mga kasimanwa!

Thanks for starting this bai to help our very good friend and fellow paclander in need.

@Yetboh:
hang on there pre...and be strong.
You are maybe at your lowest today but somehow it is a time of reflection, a time to know more about ourselves and how vulnerable we are.
It is a time where one's resolve and character are put to test facing such adversity.
Above all, it is the right time to show courage to our loves ones who look up to us as the leader of the pack who can lead and carry them to higher grounds of recovery...

With all due respect to your opinion. As far as we (his friends) are concerned, I think you failed to see the legitimacy of this appeal and the person involved.

Jorge (Yetboh) has been a close friend to us and we feel his suffering towards this ordeal. We are not forcing everybody here but anyone who would like to offer their unsolicited help (prayers included) is very much welcome.

As far as the legitimacy of the people coordinating this help thread is concerned, I know it takes time to really trust someone but as i've said previously, we are not forcing anyone to join us. Although we had done this before, during our donation drive of the Mandaue fire victims a few years back, we are dignified to say that all the donations were given to the victims. Through the voluntary efforts and perseverance of the Cebu Pacs and the kind hearted generosity of numerous Paclanders worldwide.

I'm with you guys in this noble purpose. I'm saddened to know about this to our co paclander and friend, Yetboh. I've known him to be a nice guy, for the past times I've been there, Cebupacs esp. Yetboh, LJ and Jani were there to make me feel at home and had a pleasant time while in Cebu-Pinoy hospitality at its best!

Though some cast doubt on making donation to an individual account, I don't, because I know personally the person who's account will be used to channel financial help. Though I'm not a Cebupac, I am fully aware of this man's integrity.

I'll set aside a portion of my salary next payday to send to bai Ram's acct.

Yetboh, my prayers to you and to your whole family's fast recovery from this tragedy.

those who want to send their donations thru my bank account...i would like to suggest the following procedure to ensure accountability of your hard-earned money:

1. after you deposited your donation, please post immediately in this thread that you have deposited your donation already to my bank account. do not forget to post how much money you deposited so that i can run a financial accounting of all donations in this thread....

2. i will then reconcile all those who posted their donations here against the cash deposited in my account....

3. after i reconcile the cash receipts in my bank account with your posts confirming your deposit...i will immediately list down your real names and/or handles in this thread with the corresponding amount of money you deposited as your donations...

4. each donor will receive a confirmation post of their donations from me....either in this thread or thru PM....

WITH THAT SAID....LET ME START THE BALL ROLLING BY LISTING MY PLEDGE BELOW:

1. Ramrod - P1,000.00
2.
3.
4.
5.
