Aldeguer is in a bind alright. Nietes can vacate the title, but he is not sure if his team can negotiate with DAZN.

They can pay Palicte and Roy Jones step-aside money too, but there is nothing there for him. Well, Aldeguer better make it quick with DAZN, maybe the pay will be good enough to vacate the throne or even pay Palicte.

Nietes and Aldeguer said that they don't want to waste time for non-sense fights... They have to prove it by doing anything in their power to prevent the rematch... Their only way out is to vacate the title and fight Yafai or Chocolatito... SSR and Estrada will be having a rematch so both are not available... Talk about bad timing...

Palicte and Nietes can be both great champions, they should fight in different sanctioning bodies, filipino boxers should not fought each other for a world title.

Two reasons why Team Palicte wants a rematch with Nietes:

a. They think they can automatically beat Nietes because Palicte is bigger.

b. Roy Jones people don't care about two Filipinos fighting for the same belt. All they are after is to make money

I would not be surprise if they win the Nietes rematch, they will target Ancajas. They know they have no chance against Rungvisai, Yafai or even Estrada.

They are targeting the "weaker champions" and their attitude is "screw the Filipino sentimentality" we just want a title.

Agree... Once Palicte becomes a champion of another sanctioning body, the Philippines will have 3 champions... That's the good time to fight each other then...

A dumb move by RJJ if ever... As if Nietes and Ancajas are the weakest links... Yafai is...

It seems that Hearn wants to continue the Superfly tournament... He wants Yafai-Nietes in the undercard of SSR-Estrada 2 with both winners fighting next... Nice! I'm sure Nietes and Aldeguer will grab the opportunity...

That's good. Nietes can vacate his crown, and go for another one. Everybody happy.

A possible scenario:
1. WBO will allow Nietes-Yafai unification but the winner should fight the mandatory afterwards...
2. WBO will order Palicte to fight any of the WBO Top 5 available for the interim version of the WBO title... He just defeated #2 Martinez, #3 Estrada will fight SSR, #4 Funai will fight Ancajas, #5 Ioka is available so he might be Palicte's next opponent...
3. Assuming both Nietes and Palicte are victorious... Nietes might have to vacate the WBO title to unify against SSR-Estrada 2 winner... Palicte will be elevated to the full version of the title... A win-win situation for both, and we have 3 Pinoy champs at 115 ruling over the 4 alphabet titles, The Ring title and the lineal title...

Uh-oh, seems like ALA failed to secure the Yafai unification and WBO already forced a bid for Nietes-Palicte 2... I wonder if there's still hope for another fight instead...
