Donnie Nietes is rank 6 WBO. WBO is currently being held by Ivan Calderon. I don't think Nietes has a chance in hell with Calderon, unless he lands a lucky hit. Calderon said he might move up, which would leave the belt vacant. Mayol is busy trying to get WBC, which he is also rank number 1 for WBO.

2. Satoshi Kogumazaka
3. Miguel Tellez
4. Omar Soto
5. Juan Palacios

What's Nietes chances vesus other boxer ahead of him?

Donnie 'ahas' Nietes is a good fighter but not the first-class type like Mayol or Gorrez. Im rating him just like our other Phil champs (ex. Federico Catubay).. He'll do good only in Asia.. but with dedicaton and proper training, we just don't know he might pull an upset in any of those rated champs...

Mayol and Gorres is a first class type? besides from winning to not so known fighters do you have other more basis? Both Gorres and mayol are newbies to world boxing. Maybe soon... I hope :D

Goodluck to Donnie anyway hehe

Nietes can become a world champion. But he should not underestimate his Thai opponent, whose undefeated record speaks for himself.
