no...we know how to accept defeat....what we cannot accept is quitting while your way ahead on score cards. After round 9 banal is 2 points ahead. And he gave the belt to torito in a silver platter.

According to Banal's trainer it could be that Banal "overtrained" and ran out of gas in the actual fight.
His trainer should concentrate on training Banal's heart. His heart to fight gave in, ala "No mas".

What a shame. Calling Banal a bum in only his 1st defeat in his 18th fight? Manny suffered his 1st defeat much earlier and no body called him a bum then. Why is it that thousands of people went to see the fight and millions watch over the TV , where Bazooka the bum heads the main event. Why can't you accept defeat and put the blame on Banal? You are the bum. People who loses hope with just a single defeat. You are the kind of people who won't succed in your life. DAMN.

Those who called him bum, they just lost big time on bets.... AJ is not a bum neither is Boomboom. It's just that they're single dimensional fighter who do not know how to adjust..... yet.

Manny was too, especially when faced with unorthodox rugged fighters like Nedal Hussein, Torreocampo, and Agapito Sanchez.

It takes a lot of proper training, strategy making and experience to really develop a fighter into a complete one. And it is the coach that makes it happen.

AJ is not a one dimensional fighter, he just got gassed at the end and quit . his corners were telling him to get up and he just shook his head and didnt wana get up...AJ is a complete fighter and a champion type caliber and the only thing thats missing is heart...he doesnt have heart,, he could got up from that knockdown but stayed down just like Morales on his third fight with Pac...but the difference is Morales knows he has been beaten and has no chance and Banal is winning the fight and could have got back up and finished the round but he didnt... all i can say is try again next time and be prepared it that time comes

It is because Manny wasn't overhypped then.

Banal should have won this fight. Anything less than this is telling us something. Banal doesn't have it. He is not championship material. Look guys, Conception skills wise, is no match for Banal. Banal should have knocked this guy out. and he was given so many chances and he let the opportunity slip away. He was not hurt at all. He just gave up. He could have finished the round and even finish the whole 12 rounds decently. What did he do? He chose to remain sitting. As I remember right, Conception was the one being beaten around. The only beating that Banal suffered was when during clinches, he allowed Conception to hit him on his sides. Why did he allow that to happen? That was so stupid for him to do. And for someone to just give up, letting his future slip away infront of his countrymen, is for me is just PLAIN DUMB. FOR THIS, I CONSIDER HIM A BUM.

People didn't call Manny a bum because at that time there was no PACLAND yet to vent all the hate. dito ko na nga lang nalaman yung "bum" word na yan. lol

wrong guys....remember when pacman loses to eric in their morales-pacquiao 1 fight. the people and the fans did not ridicule pacman but instead they rally behind him for they saw how he gallantly fought that event.

manny performed well on that fight....

Manny was KO'ed 2x....Blinded by the blood oozing from a cut.....but he never surrendered till the end.

AJ was not that hurt...you can see it in his eyes. But he was just so frustrated that after throwing everything, still torito is coming forward. He quit....and it was in front of his country men. Dyahi. Sana humilata na lang sya para mukhang talagang nasaktan at di na maka laban.

You have seen the fight and AJ had really ran out of gas. Can you still expect him to be on his knees when his already on his limits? Its not easy to be on the ring for 12 rounds standing on both feet looking tough. You have your own limits also. The night is probably not for AJ.

If you really thought AJ quit during the match, its because he knows his body cannot withstand anymore the pressure from Torito, yet his mental approach is far from over but his body wasn't. If its a fight to the finish you'd like to see, then probably a brutal death match is your way of entertaining yourself in this kind of sport.

One of your threads about AJ has been deleted already if you still haven't noticed that, try to be inert sometimes and refrain from posting another senseless bum threads.

..people are disappointed because the way BASUKO BANAL was defeated.. i mean you saw what happened, i think he can easily get up and clinched his way to end the round..but we saw how a LOSER he really is...and please don't compare HIM to MANNY.. nobody called MANNY a BUM coz' he was DEFEATED with a LUCKY BRUTAL PUNCH and he was counted out lying splat on the mat..not like BASUKO who clearly has NO BALLS and can easily get up but didn't want to fight... tsk tsk tsk what LOSER... DAMN... :(

Banal doesn't seem to have the heart to be a champion. It was a great opportunity for him to really rise to the occasion.

All the motivaton was in place, fighting in his hood with all the people who know him watching, the opprtunity for bigger fights.

If only he stood up and danced the remaining seconds away. It would have been more acceptable if he was knocked out cold at least that way wala na talaga siya magagawa, like david diaz.

But PACMAN has never lost in Philippine soil against foreign fighters, he never let down his countryman against invaders, he fought till the end. PACMAN has a warrior's aztech, you can see it in his eyes and it's in his blood. :)

Peace!
