I'm waiting for some constructive criticisms from the haters!

ALA defined failure quite well, baibizz... “You never reach the top unless you reach the bottom.” :D

For failing the first time up, it would only make winning a championship more sweeter and satisfying. One can never learn to appreciate success without prior failure.

Not if the criticism was constructive. I guess they have none to give.

A reaction to Ala's quote.

"the higher you fly, the harder the fall"

"the bigger the hype, the bigger the disappointment"

;)

Question: Is it ALA's fault if the Philippine and some foreign sportswriters are hyping his fighters up?

no.

but to me, it seems, it is ALA's fault that he is ALA. thats how i read the posts from the haters these past few days.

they seems to know more about boxing. i wonder why up to now they havent taken that big step to manage their own stabel of boxers and help philippine boxing in the process.

So what do you suggest for ALA to do to stop the local and foreign media from hyping his fighters?

though it is my honest opinion that the stable needs to look into its boxers' conditioning... to buuild up their stamina.

though i believe anybody can wilt under those liver-pounding punches concepcion delievered during the clinches... full-stamina or not, one can fall given that pounding.

im just saying that conditioning coach must be incorporated into the ala stable's training program. i know theyre looking at it na as ive heard the management are now closely monitoring their boxer's food intake... it is a step to the right direction. :)

To me, the more revealing statement in that article was: "Concepcion wanted it more." Especially when placed in the context of another statement, "I don't know what was on his mind. Only AJ knows what was on his mind", when referring to AJ's refusal to beat the count.

Tony knows AJ like a father knows his son. He seems to me to be saying something without really saying anything. I think we should listen not only to what he says but also to that which remains unsaid.
