According to a source on the web, Rafael Concepcion, who just won the WBA interim super flyweight title, might defend his crown some time before September 15 where the two Japanese fighters will fight for the regular title. I just hope it would be rematch between him and Banal. Here's a link:

AJ fought really well there. I guess he learned from what happened during the Bautista-De Leon fight which was why he managed to reach 10 rounds. But the outcome shows that stamina was the one thing lacking. As matter of fact, AJ never fought beyond 10 rounds in his career.

If he were to fight Concepcion again, AJ should improve his endurance. Also, he must watch out for Concepcion's clinch-and-punch tactic. I don't see many boxers do that.

concepcion might not be willing to give aj banal a rematch considering that aj has a very good chance in winning that one.

only saw first 3 rounds (so far) but he looked good, was catching Concepcion.

I'd think Banal could finish him in a rematch. Lessons learned. And if he presses more.

Looked like Banal was catching him flush from the beginning, all the while in clinches holding Banal or theyr arms caught, Conc early already sneaking or getting in multi hits wrking AJ's body early. They can stop that early nxt time, also by complaining or letting the ref know.

Banal is still way young and had a whole program including build up etc. all focused on him.. kind of early and maybe rushed to handle all that..

..AJ should rest and do some soul searching....then come back next year...maybe then he's ready to fight concepcion again.

If they do, where should be the venue? In Cebu again? Or, in Panama?

Where will that possible rematch be held? That all depends Golden Boy, the promoter. I'm not sure if there's a good venue in Panama to stage such an event. So chances are very good that it might take place again in the Philippines.
