AJ is not ready for Arce. IMO. :boxing:

Arce KO'ed Concepcion.
Concepcion KO'ed AJ...

I agree with you!

Arce is too much for AJ at this point of his career...
Paborito pa naman ni Arce ang body shots na ayaw naman ni AJ.

That should not be the basis of judgement because anything can happen in the ring. Like for instance, Shane Mosley cant beat Vernon Forest but Vernon Forest cant beat Mayorga but then Mosley did beat Mayorga. AJ is a good boxer and that the weaknes of Arce, Mijares schooled Arce because he is a boxer like AJ. The strength of Arce is a toe to toe type of boxing.

yep. AJ chances against Arce is the puncher chance or Arce got a cut to deep and can't continue... to slim... Arce is one tough hombre!

Personally, AJ doesn't need to fight Rafael again in a rematch just to prove a point. I have gone over it already. He should likewise too. It was an upset and without a doubt AJ is far more superior than Rafael. In a rematch, I'd bet for AJ anytime.

The situation is different. AJ has to move on and let fate have its way. A meeting with Rafael is a possibility only when these guys fight for maybe a title or eliminator. Other than that, it's a waste of time.

ALA should guide his stalwarts in as far as decisions like this are concerned. Even Boom2x doesn't have to face DPDL at this point. To me, nothing to gain and everything to lose. AJ should concentrate on reviving his confidence and focus on another crack at a world title. I still believe in him. He's still and remains to be the best prospect out there.

Forget Conception. If he wants to prove himself he should go for Arce the conqueror of El Torito.

Concepcion was simply over-glorified. He was a B- player at best. Banal had the superior skill, and even power--almost complete offensive arsenal. But his team forgot about 1 important thing: stamina & physical condition. In the late rounds leading to the stoppage, AJ was clearly panting, trying so hard to catch air. The mind wanted to carry on but the body couldn't.

I agree with the previous posters here, fighting Concepcion now does little or nothing to change what already happened. Team Banal should just move on and fight other top contenders in order to redeem himself.

I think AJ has miscalculated the strength of El Torito, He thought he can knock him out in the early rounds which he almost did. Overconfident maybe, because El Torito's record is not as impressive as those AJ's previous opponents.

Because that opponent can recover fast from being groggy, not many can do that and he has street-smarts.
In short, nagulangan si aj.

and AJ don't know how to cover. His body is virtually a punching bag for Torito. :boxing:

Nope, Mijares will fight Darchi for super-flyweight unification bout...

Arce will fight Garcia for the interim WBA super-flyweight title.

Boxer thinking inside the ring is not always the case, that's why corner men should give the right advice in the crucial rounds of the fight. That's one main reason why AJ lost to El Torito. :(
