He should have boxed better. The thai didn't give up and finally pinned him down on the ropes and pooof. De javu again. Honestly i was impressed the way Aj moves his head and lands punches. Sadyang matibay lang yung thailander, Margarito/Rios mode ang loko. Dapat binoxing niya na lang at tinakbuhan kung di nya kaya. Anyway Bawi na lang sa sunod. :)

over-confident and incompetent corner

I was there at the MOA arena and saw how the cut bothered AJ. It distracted him that it totally reduced his overall fighting ability, defense and concentration. It was simply the cut, that cost him the title, he was winning until he got hit with those unforeseen punches that came from the blind side.

I can't believe somebody's defending Bumzooka .

indeed... as Sun Tzu said: "War is an economic matter"..

before the fight, they should have known that Banal had limited "resources"..

they should have focused on acquiring such "resources", and studied how they can use it in the most efficient way that they could.. :)

Be explicit. What resources are you inferring?

Too much MEDIA HYPE can make a boxer dumb..Look at Sor Singyu, he was the least fave boxer and not an apple of the eye of every media but he won the world title..Therefore, enough of that HYPE so that they can produce a world champ..

Well, at least ALA gave him a chance to win at MOA. Had they fought in Thailand, it would have been 5 round TKO.

It is time that ALA let their fighters fight abroad and develop a stronger mettle. Tama na ang baby baby and put in a main event with lowly fighters. Since nasanay sila lumaban at home, kampanti sila but when a really toughie comes they usually fold because they did not have top notch opposition.

+1

Much better if ALA put tougher opponents on their boxers from the start then if they win a title settle for mediocre opponents from then on. Experience is bi@tch teacher, it will knock you out when least expected.

good offense but defense is not good.. two wide on his feet, reason you can't move and backpedal, avoid punches of your feet is too wide.. you can punch harder probably when it's too wide but that's all.
