Update...
After round 7...Carlsen is on top of the standing with 5 points after a full-point against Ian Nepo.. Wesley is a close second with 4.5 points after halving the point with Karjakin from a losing position. Ian Nepo, Aronian, Ding and Caruana are bunched together with 4 points. Maxime, Karjakin and Anand all with 3 points. Wesley is playing Nakamura in 8 round while Carlsen is testing Aronian's wits. It appears that Wesley is back from his old self.

Overall, Carlsen lead the GCT Tour with 33 points with total prize money of 127,500U$. Wesley moved up from 4th to 2nd with 22 points and total prize money of 75,000U$. Third is Ding with 13 points and 29,833U$.

In Croatia 2019 Classical, Wesley wanted to go all out in the last round but admitted that he is not really in good spirit to do it thus he settled for a draw. Not exactly his words but something along that line. At this time, Carlsen is playing magnificent chess playing 70+ games without a lost and winning successive tournament.

Third stop of the GCT 2019 tour is the Paris GCT Rapid and Blitz. They will play 9 rounds of rapid and 18 round of blitz with prize money of 150,000U$. Surely, Carlsen will be the favorite as rapid and blitz is his forte. Nakamura will have a chance to redeem himself as rapid and blitz suits him well. Hopefully, Wesley can hold his own in this third stop of GCT 2019 tour in Paris beginning July 27 to August 1.

Then, only 4 of them left in the running. The Final 4 @ Riga Grand Prix.

Semi Final Pairings:
Wesley So Vs Mamedyarov.
MVL Vs Grischuk.
