To Enigma: so when you were caught with your pants down on your 50-50-90 rule suddenly you were just saying it in "jest", LOL. You also said it applies to my "act of guessing". Well, I was not guessing as I based it on the games and track records of these 5 GMs ( Liren, Caruana, So, Kramnik Karjakin) against " my boy", Carlsen which I had been closely following. So your guess that I was guessing has a zero probability. Again, unless something bad happened to him, like his health deteriorating , getting invoved in a bad accident or something, I don't see any of these 5 GMs beating Carlsen for the championship for the next 4 or maybe even 5 years. After that anything can happen and I am not saying that he will be champion forever.
BTW my boy beat Liren at the recent Showdown of Champion match at a lopsided score of 67-25 and spanked So at the Speed Chess match about a week ago also at a lopsided score of 27.5 - 9.5.
Finally , dont be using cliche statement about the need or non-need for math explanation. This statement had been used many times and was originally made about believers /non believers of God in the movie, " Song of Bernadette." At least come out with something original. Otherwise you sound ( or look) boring.

I wonder how you caught me with my pants down when I was never in front of your woman.

Kidding aside, I’m a bit flattered that I receive ‘special mention’ now every time you start your post. However, what you got above is just a straw man’s argument. It’s like you’re putting words into my mouth, insisting on your own twisted understanding of the 50-50-90 rule, and then using it against me to make it appear that “you caught me with my pants down”. That’s an old trick, my friend. You’re just going in circles with your argument, and that’s a logical fallacy. They call it, in Latin, as circulus in demonstrando.

I’m not taking the bait, so let’s move on to a more meaningful discussion of our Project. Remember that Mod Joey is watching us from a distance. :D

And oh, by the way, you attacked the person in the end as ‘boring’ instead of refuting his idea or statement (i.e., discussing the merits and demerits of that cliché). That act of yours was a veiled form of argumentum ad hominem.

Once again, let’s just move on, because if you don’t, there’s 90% probability (and not 50-50 chance) that Mod Joey will take care of you.

That’s the truth, but this time it may no longer set you free...

Two Americans Are One Win From The World Chess Championship

The American men’s soccer team is missing out on next year’s World Cup, but members of a different U.S. national team will have a shot at international glory. The elite field for chess’s Candidates Tournament is now set,1 and two American grandmasters have qualified: Fabiano Caruana and Wesley So. The winner will go on to play for the World Chess Championship, the game’s pinnacle title, and the probability that it will be either Caruana or So is about 30 percent. An American hasn’t won a world championship since Bobby Fischer did in 1972.

Another draw by Wesley in R4, same with 8 others. Only Caruana had a Win in R4 Vs Karjakin and he now leads with 2.5/4. Wesley & 8 others are 2.0/4 and Karjakin at the bottom with 1.5/4.

big game for Wes

hoping for the best!

if Wes wins, baka mag-tailspin na naman ang confidence ni Magnus like what happened when Wes seemed to loom as the biggest threat to his reign by going undefeated for 60+(?) games and winning very notable tournaments...during that time din yata nagcomment si Gary naming Wes as the one he'd pick to most likely topple Magnus in a championship match

one big game Wes,
Godspeed!!!
