Although Finals would have been sweeter, semis stint is not that bad at all. It's already a big achievement considering that other players in the top 10 didn't even reach the quarters.

Makakabawi rin si Wes in the near future.

Laban lang... Go go go Wesley So. More power to you. God is Great...

alam naman natin ang classical game....

its a board and bored games...

usually ang mga exciting player dyan e yung mga sumasalungat sa mga computer generated moves...

experts and fans sometimes scratch their heads... why, why why?

and eventually they were proven that its the best move....

ok pa yung rapid... but blitz ang hirap sundan ang laro dahil in mere seconds they already moved their pieces..

e nag iisip ka pa lang nung last move kung OK ba...

ahihihihihihihihihi

Seems Giri's observation is valid.

Congratulations and please remember that we will always be proud of you; specially for reaching the current WC semis.

wesley can defend well at rapid and classical time control. pero sa blitz kinakapos. wesley so has a trainer now. i am sure they will try to address this.

Wesley you still make us proud.
Qualifying on the candidates tournament via rating...
This is still an accomplishment.

Bawi lang tayo sa candidates tournament...

Congrats Wes! It was a Great performance!

Opinion...

Duun sa 1st game w Ding sa clasical (wes on white), i see Wes is better than Ding. Ding just got saved by move repetition. Otherwise, mate sya or resign in few moves.

I guess, "move repetition" draw needs to be avoided specially kung lamang ng malaki sa position at material. Easier said than done in big pressure moments. :)

Why it is a superb performance.

If Wes can challenge Magnus for the world championship, i think Wes will win it.

Opinion lang nmn, libre. :)

Pwede pa sa ratings. it all depends on the outcome/results in the Isle of Man Open 2017,
23 Sep - 1 Oct 2017, where Caruana and Kramnik will be playing.

i think the 3 of them are really close rating wise (average).
Caruana,Wesley and Kramnik in that particular order. Only 2 will qualify thru ratings, and only the 3 of them has a legit chance. Not even MVL has a chance to qualify via ratings.
i think ang lamang ni wes kay kramnik is just around .05 ..
Advantage kay Wesley kung mapagtatalo si Kramnik sa remaining classical games nya.
And by the way, Caruana is winning against kramnik ( +2.84 engine eval)
Go Fabi!
