After 10th round, Wesley is alone in 4th place with 6 points. Nakamura, Dominguez and Caruana are tied from 1st to 3rd with 7 points each. If Wesley keeps his 4th place, he will earned 20kUS$. Winner gets 50kUS$, 2nd ends up with 35kUS$ and 3rd with 25kUS$.

...but it seems Wes is already bent on not having any kind of coach

can't blame him though...the former coach should have first sought permission from Wes before keeping tabs and notes on him. Even though tell-alls or more accurately, insider stories on the biggest chess personalities have sold big, I think for the most part these were done with the consent of the subject chess masters

After losing the first game of 2 classical games vs. Duda, Wesley bounces back to win the 2nd. At tie break (rapid) Wesley only needs 2 games to eliminate Duda. He will now face Grischuk on the next elimination game. Nakamura also survived the tie break beating Radjabov(?). If both wins the second elimination pairing, they will face each other on the next elimination.
This is the first of 4 legs 22-player FIDE Grand Prix knockout series to determine two places in 2020 Candidates Tournament. 16-players will play 3 of the knockout tournament. If after 2 classical games and the match is tied, two rapids games of 25 + 10 will be played. If still tied, another two 10 + 10 rapids then two 5 + 3. Finally, a single Armageddon. Basically, no playing for draws here so we expect a slam bang match up from beginning to end.

The 2019 Croatia Grand Chess Tour started last June 26.

Wesley so earned a full point in the very first round against Ding. He drew his 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounds against Maxime, Anish and Anand. He will be facing Caruana in the 5th round. Leading the pack is Ian Nepo... with 3.5 points. Tied for second are Carlsen and Wesley. So far, Wesley is showing strong chess in the first few rounds. Hopefully, he can sustain it until the last round.
