Mathysse is much stronger and better than Jeff Horn by comparisson both have similarities in fighting style. Their aggressiveness both are locomotive moving forward guns blazing heavy puncher, Mathysse has better defense, both similar strenght and stamina. While no matter how much Manny would train in this fight his best may peak 80-85% of what was once a great Pacman, less punching power, slower, 90 % gas on tank. Pacman needs to be 85-90% but that would be close to impossible considering the damages and wear and tear from many wars fought in the ring, for more 2 decades. It is true Manny is slowing down but if he can hire Marquez conditioning coach Heredia if I'm not mistaken there's a big chance to KO Mathysse in early rounds. This is a very critical fight too risky for the health of Manny at his age Mathysse is a very hard hitter if he get caught by those punches in the head even if not direct hit the nerves might not hold and pain is numbing intense is dangerous.
Just go back to those times hitting strings in trainning its helpful, don't force it or overdo it wont work anymore, weight trainning helps a lot at your age, left some weights like JMM in the last fight build those muscles but lean Heredia is expert on this area. If you lose some speed at least gain some strenght. Try not to engage toe to toe in early rounds your still faster than Mathysse just move around pick your angles hope for open cuts. You can do it!

A very close decision is the only way for Pacquiao to win...

The fight will be held in Malaysia. I think Matthysse is sold out on this fight but he won't knock out. This is all business.

Jeff Horn was better than Lucas at dirty tactics, and Pacman has always been prone to fits against dirty fighting. Horn is also bigger and stronger than Lucas, so he was able to use his tactics on Pacman.

Anyway, we shall see.

An 80% Pacquiao would be really short.

Jeff Horn can use tricks and has an awkward style he's more physical and more unpredictable. Matthysse is more predictable but hits harder than Horn but given Pacquiao's age Matthysse will really push him to a brawl and he can also box. One strong punch from Matthysse can end this bout quickly.

Technically Pacquiao still has the edge, Mathysse is hoping to land a KO punch , his only chance

Pacquiao by UD if Mathysse failed to KO Pacman

Pacquiao is fighting for money, looks like he's in dire straits to gamble his life on this fight. He's in for a beating.

If he can't KO Mathysse knowing Mathysse is better fighter than rugged Horn their's very little chance for Manny to win. A Split decision I think.

This is still a very interesting fight for Manny on how he will favor in his last remaining fights. No doubt Mathysse is a stronger and bigger fighter he will start strong for sure taking the fight into brawl forcing Manny out of his comfort zone just like Jeff Horn thinking to worn out the old man with body punch. Manny needs to change his strategy and go for KO he should stop throwing light combinations punches and concentrate on hard punches. He lost his KO punch when he trained trying to become a complete fighter in exchange of light combo sometimes ineffective punches. Stop the Fernandoe Poe style it's not even applicable anymore since most Judges won't even see it hitting his opponent. Those short punches are negligible and wasted energy remember those old judges won't be able to see those sneaky punches and doesn't really slow down young fighters it's time to go back to basics one last time.

Lucas is a B-class fighter and Pacman is A-class. If Pacman can't beat Lucas, then it only means he is over the hill already.

I still expect Pacman to win, like the betting agencies do, I still think he is still a great contender. But this fight will let us know.

Horn was different, Pacman won that fight, IMHO.

A "b" game of pacquiao is still a lot better than a lot of A games of most of the fighters in the welterweight division. Trust me.

but the pacquiao who fought horn was a part time boxer/politican plus the fact that horn is the bigger younger guy throws a lot of elbows clinch and headbutts and yet pacquiao almost ktfo him at round 9.
