This shows that a fighter has a lot to do in winning than the coach. Buboy, with all he knows about Pac didn't help at all.

There is a reason why Freddie Roach is no longer Concepcions coach. I'm sure Freddie saw that Concepcion didn't have "it".

Amen! :?

I hope someday coach freddie will train Nonito jr...

TO SUM UP ALL YOUR POSTINGS!!!!!!
WE CAN THEREFORE CONLUDE THAT ABE I A BUM FIGHTER.
NO IMPROVEMENT AT ALL COMPARE FROM HIS LAST 3 FIGHTS.
HE FIGHT JUST LIKE AN AMATEUR. SO IT IS BETTER FOR ABE TO RETIRE FROM BOXING
PUT UP A SMALL BUSINESS FROM HIS $$$$$$$ WINNINGS.

HIS RESUME IS REALLY BEEN AFFECTED, NO MORE GOOD FIGHT FOR HIM IN THE FUTURE.

POWER - Very Good
FOOTWORK - Bad
MOVEMENT - Very Bad
STAMINA - Fair
TIMING - Very Bad
BALANCE - Bad
TRAINER - Good, why good? Buboy is Pacquiao's trainer long before Roach arrived. Sonsona's lost isn't because of a bad trainer, but because of 3 consecutive low blows. Imagine yourself banged three times below the belt...does it hurt?

blame the trainer, buboy fernandez. from the looks of it, concepcion is not really prepared strategy-wise for the lefty champion. almost all the left throws of lopez landed on concepcion's face. totally no defense, no jabs, no footworks. concepcion should have adapted pacquiao's training on the rubber tyre for good balance while maintaining the power on his punches as well on the defensive end.

i believe concepcion has the skills, although personally i think this is too early for him to fight the caliber of lopez. still, trainer's fault for wrong or lack of preparation & strategy.

I agree with this one..
Buboy has no gameplan..
Imagine going toe-to-toe against a KO artist right at the opening bell?? :(

I don't know what happened to Abe. I remember watching his fights at 122 and he looked very promising. He punched in bunches and moved around very well. It seemed that once he moved to 126, something changed. Maybe that's all coincidence but...
Many folks are blaming Buboy. I'd like to know when he started being his chief trainer. Has he always been the main trainer?

I Agree..

You are forgetting the height and reach advantage to add to that.

You are wrong guys. Abe has foot work and skills. The only problem with this dude is matigas ang ulo and hindi marunong sumunod sa instruction. Abe should change his attitude instead of changing his corner.

i think all those who are whining until now should blame themselves.

you expected too much of abe winning over juanma.

there was a valid reason why abe was an underdog...

we all knew abe had a tough hill to climb in the first place.

let's all move on. 8)

Abe didn't pray before the fight, that's why..

Seriously Concepcion tried and give him cred but RICAN was too much.

Somebody has to take responsibility with the loss. I believe Buboy is the biggest factor. Don't get me wrong, no crabbie issue here, but at work, somebody has to take responsibility when something goes wrong.

1. Buboy will never know what its like to be a boxer from a boxer's perspective. Sadly this is one experience he will never be able to impart to a student if he pushes through with his trainer career. Experience wise, he is not ready yet with this level of competition.

2. As a Chief cornerman, He should have started from the bottom. Just because he had Pac, it doesn't mean he can be a good trainer to other boxers as well. He should have started his training career in the amateur ranks first. Although he has been around as an assistant, I think he still doesn't have it as a chief coach... as assistant trainer maybe... but not a coach. The other reason I can think of why he may not choose to start at the bottom is most likely the pay out. If one is used to getting huge cash every other fight, it will definitely be hard to accept a responsibility at a measly income.

3. Abe had a bad corner that night. Just take a look at the case with pac-cotto. Joe santiago was not the right man to be in cotto's corner as he faced elite pac. Recently we saw the same cotto with steward and saw some improvements right away. Looking at Abe's previous fights and his fight with Juanma, you would be shocked at the difference of his fight style. A fighter will follow his coach's strategy, that's what the coach is there for. Bad Coaching - Bad performance.

4. If Buboy does not realize his mistake here and correct himself, then he's gonna be trekking a career of bad fights, where his victim will be upcoming pinoy aspirants, unless he finds another pac.
